Just read Outliers about how and why some people, like Bill Gates, or the Beatles, do exceedingly better than the rest of us. Very interesting if you're sociologically minded.
***** by Chuck Palahniuk - love his stuff. Read *****, Invisible Monsters, Stranger than Fiction, Rant and Fight Club of course.
PS Edward Norton rocks my socks!
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, by Steig Larsson. Translated from Swedish but incredibly readable. Very dark but you just keep turning those pages to see how much darker (god forbid) it can get. It can.
:hi:
Believe me, it gets darker! But you'll love it!
As it happens, I've just started the third (and sadly last) book of the Millennium Trilogy, "The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest".
I don't mean sadly last because, obviously, the third is the last of any trilogy, but because Stieg Larsson died in 2004 and it was the last book he wrote.
I hope it's not giving anything away to say that Lisbeth Salander is the eponymous heroine of all three books. What a gal! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisbeth_Salander
