What are you reading now?

Don't want to sound like a dick, but you should do a search. I'm pretty sure that I made a post about it and I know several other people have talked about it in this thread. I think it was also discussed in a thread talking about the upcoming film adaptation.

You arent sounding like that calpoon. Thanks for the info, i will look for it! (EDIT : search engine brings... nothing :()

And by the way, im the author of the thread about the upcoming film http://board.freeones.com/showthread.php?t=246145&highlight=waiting :D

If you havent already read it, try Blood Meridian by CM, in my opinion his best work. Although I havent read everything of his so I cant be certain on that.

Im currently reading:

Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse, which I cant quite get into at the moment

and im re-reading The Three Stigmata of Plamer Eldritch by Philip K Dick, one of my favourites :D

Sorry just making some corrections I hope I fot them all, its dark in this room!!!!

P.K. Dick.

I remember when i have first read a book by him... I think i have spent the next 3 months reading his whole novels and short stories. It's a lot more than science-fiction as its often label: its philosophical, metaphysical, sociological, psychological... I mean, it should be labelled Litterature in my opinion.

The Three Stigmatas of Palmer Eldritch is great, one of his most achieved work i think. Ubik will always have a special place in my heart as its the first one of his book that i have read. :)

here ya go Dawn. http://board.freeones.com/search.php?searchid=24725947

BB, those books rock. I kinda had a hard time getting into steppenwolf too. the first chapter, 20 pages of so are like the story told from the POV of the dude that the main character lives with, so nothing really happens and you are like wtf? but the point is to establish how the character appears to other people. The rest of the book is the actual story from the main guy's perspective, so it makes more sense and picks up, at least for me. My favorite story by one of my favorite authors.

BB, calpron : You guys have read his other works? I discovered Herman Hesse in a litterature class when i was younger and i litterally fallen in love with his writings. It's been so long, i could probably read some of them again. *feels old*

I'm still trying to catch up on my newspapers. I'm still about 12 days behind. Once I've done that I'll probably get to looking for a job, again. After that? Who knows?
