For those who haven't seen the HBO series Westworld - it's based on an expansive theme park set in the old American wild west where guests pay an exorbitant fee to live out their cowboy fantasies in a fleshed out world populated by androids so lifelike you can literally have sex with them (of course). Everything that happens runs on a branching scripted narrative that resets in a loop. Anything is permitted from the human guests including **** and wanton ****** but their artificial hosts cannot actually harm the guests in return as they are programmed. These android hosts are "warm bodies to fuck or shoot." This leads to the predictable tropes of course.
My question is how would you conduct yourself in such a setting where anything goes with no ramifcations in the real world? What happens in Westworld stays in Westorld. Would you wear the white hat or the black hat or somewhere in-between?
I admit that it would be tempting for the lulz to go all maniac but I wouldn't want that imagery imprinted in my psyche. So I would be somewhere in-between or go full on John Wayne.
I play that way in videogames. I'm not necessarily a nice guy but I like to think I'm a good man.
