To be fair, it's not necessarily their fault.
The websites are the ones who are doing it, if someone posts a link that has some sort of virus/trojan, they have probably been done over as well as anyone else.
I do agree about those who use this board as some sort of commercialmessage board for their own site or whatever... bastard spammers..!!

yeah...I got a shit load of trojans from a link here yesterday, but they came from the website NOT the poster. He was only trying to share what he thought was a good (and clean) site. All i did was update my spybot files and sorted it (took a while mind you!).

So anyway, take a chill pill and get on with life.

i also got a bunch of trojans from a link yesterday but the reality is that we are all going around to a varity porn sites many of which don't have high scruples. i mean just by going around to porn sites your putting yourself at higher risk of viruses ect then say someone who does not. my point is relax get yourself some protection and deal if your computer gets fucked up becuase in the end its your fault.

I myself posted a link containing viruses and trojans not knowing they were lurking on that site a while ago.

My intention was pretty much to share something I found and not to spread trojans/viruses. If that in your opinion makes me a "no good rotton cocksucking bitch" or a "fucking asshole" I just can reply noone forced you to click an infected link, noone wanted to mess up your PC AND also noone forced you to join this board.

Well this topic is kinda old, but anywho.. Most of these links with trojans aren't picked up by all antivirus programs. It actually depend on what the antivirus company includes in their virus defintions that will detemine what is picked up and what isn't. It may also depend on the antivirus programs ability to use "heuristics" in order to make guesses about new viruese that don't have defintions yet. Some companies include spyware and other malware in their defintions that are "trojan-like" others don't. This I believe is the reason why you get links like this with such malware.
