Use phrases correctly

"for free".......you can get something free or something for nothing but free is an adjective as in "free meals" ,not a noun.

Quantum leap or jump. Used to decribe a massive change but a quantum is the smallest change possible in the universe.

Errant apostrophes such as "apple's" , an apostrophe denotes a missing letter or a possession.In particular the misuse of it's which is short for "it is"
 
Another one I was thinking of today:

The phrase "gone missing" is grammatically incorrect. Gone is a verb, indicating the modifying word would be an adverb. The word "missing" is an adjective, and does not function as an adverb at all.

Yeah, as if our language wasn't already messed up enough... ppl confuse themselves.
Anyways, another one is 'atm machine' as in automatic teller machine machine. Simple one.
