USC vs. Texas: How badly will the Trojans beat the Longhorns?

So, Texas humiliated Colorado 70-3 in the Big XII Championship game and USC ran all over UCLA 66-19, so the smaller question is how badly USC will stomp Texas in the Rose Bowl. The only weapon Texas has is quarterback Vince Young while USC has Leinart and Reggie Bush, and that's just for appetizers.

I say USC wins by at least 17 points.

Bigger question is who wins the Heisman.

While Matt Leinart is having an even better year this year then he did last year when he won, I think Reggie Bush's performance against Fresno State clinched it for him.

Do not get this wrong, I am not trying to take anything away from USC, but Texas will win it all. They are just hungier that USC and IMO are not going to be easy to beat. After beating a team like they did tonight, the high they are riding is huge and will be a factor in the USC game. I predict Texas wins by 10.

I'm not a real fan of either, but good luck to both teams. It's gonna be a hell of a game.

It would be nice to see VT unfuck themselves and realize that Marcus isn't Micheal and that he sucks and get a better QB. But since that didn't happen this year, Texas is going to beat USC. Still can't believe USC stayed in #1 after ND and Fresno.

The longhorns are Great and so is Young....no doubt.....but Reggie Bush has had the heisman in the bag for awhile. And today he pretty much sealed the deal. :2 cents:

All I can say is:

U.T. is definitely hungry enough to do it this year; it's been twelve years since we came away with a conference title and I truly believe that Mack Brown has the team to do it this year. They've got a strong arm in Vince Young ... plus he's a top pick for the Heisman as well. There isn't a more dangerous player in college football than Young when he breaks containment or when he runs the read option.

I will definitely give credit where credit is due ...

USC can thank Reggie Bush for that win today. He carried that game all the way with 260 yards plus two touchdowns. He played one hell of a game; very dangerous running back! I'd put him up there in the top three as well for the Heisman, too. Obviously, quarterback Matt Leinart is Southern California's most valuable player, so that puts him in the running as well for the trophy.

Whichever way it goes, it's the top two collegiate teams again. Here's to one hell of a Rose Bowl! :glugglug:

USC is legit, but Texas has a better defense. And UT's offense is more than Young. And USC fans, your defense hasn't seen anything like Vince Young. Ask Michigan and OSU what this kid can do.

I dogged the kid a couple years ago as another running qb that can't throw, but he's developed into a good passer and electrifying runner. And I believe he's even bigger than Bush.

You say the ONLY weapon that Texas has is Vince Young??? You've got to be kidding!!! They are loaded on both sides of the ball. I can tell you haven't watched them much this year to make such an idiotic statement. USC has a great team but the Horns are better overall. Their defense is considerably better than USC's and their offense has been virtually unstoppable all year. Plus, I think the Horns want it more than the Trojans do....I saw the look on Vince Young's face yesterday after they dismantled Colorado and he looked like a man on a mission to me. It's their year. My prediction is Horns by 10.

Reggie Bush will win the Heisman and he deserves it. He's the best running back I have seen since Barry Sanders. Leinart WILL NOT finish 2nd however....Young will and Young will win it outright next year when the Horns go for a repeat National Championship.

Both offenses are incredible. The Trojans defense isn't as good as Texas defense. The Trojans have let alot of points against good teams and not so many against crappy teams. Usually the Trojans are playing crappy teams, only about 4 good teams did the trojans play. Texas has not allowed many points by any of their opponents.

So I'm going to go with Texas.

USC will win, sure both teams have looked good, but USC is better in every way then texas.

im predicting a 35-10 final in favour of USC.

It'll be interesting. If Texas isn't affected by the hype then I think they win. In a close game a running qb can make a huge difference. And Texas has the atheletes at every position on defense to slow Bush down.

I'm an impartial SEC fan, but I say Texas by 6

I give props to Texas for a great year. Vince Young is awesome. I have a ton of respect for him. However, USC is on another level. They haven't won 34 games in a row by chance. They could be the best team college football has ever seen. Those of you who live in the Midwest and East Coast just dont know how good they are. You all thought Oklahoma would beat the Trojans. hahaha. 55-19! I loved every minute of it. In case u couldn't tell, im a huge SC fan. Reggie Bush will win the Heisman, because hes the best running back since LaDainian Tomlinson. Ive watched Vince Young & Reggie Bush, and Reggie deserves it. Wow, im actually voting for a Bush? never thought that would happen. Texas's defense will be exploited by Pete Carroll & the Trojans. They will run up the points & the Longhorns wont be able to keep up for long.
