US Open 2009, NY -- Tennis

Nadal is getting "catcalls galore" at the US Open whenever he changes shirts during a match.

Nadal versus Monfils might be a 5 set superclassico match

I was watching a little bit of Nadal earlier today, well, yesterday. I also watched some of Clijsters.

I don't know. Since Ivanovic and Jankovic are out, I been watching a little bit here and there.

I noticed, too! At least I am still easily entertained with the previously played since I have not been able to watch some of them. :D

I just saw how Serena lost, dramatic
Seems strange how Clijsters can make it to the final after such a long break, does everyone else suck?

All the big names were taken out. Then again, I justify it by the big names played so much, they are bound by more injuries than those that lose and can sit out rest the tournament!

I joke, of course lol

I kind of been watching. Once my main three women were knocked out, I watched a few of those.

Men had the ones I like to watch knocked out, so yeah. That is what I love about Tennis, you just never know who is going to come out on top!

Serena: plenty of grunting, plenty of big serves, plenty of muscle, but like watching paint dry:snooze: And throwing a tantrum:nono: - essentially unable to compete - because Clijsters is a far better competitor.

Well done Clijsters! You deserved the win.:hatsoff:

Is the womens final tomorrow(13th in US)(or today technically)? If so I'll miss the live match :(
Should catch the mens final though :o
Just dont rain anymore :crash:

Serena, press conference: Bad job at hiding one's emotions. Clijsters beat her fair and square - and would have done so even without the tantrum. Take nothing away from Clijsters:thumbsup:.

I saw that tantrum (on Sportscenter) and it disgusted me as an American, as an actual Tennis player and fan and as someone who has posted many times to the glories of Serena's DDs boobs and hypnotic/kryptonic ass....

She embarrassed herself, hopefully ruined her legacy and lost me as a fan forever. She has won the US Open 3 times (defending champ too) and she isn't a "clueless nOoB" anymore. She's a mature champion and her tantrum was despicable and I APPLAUD the linesperson for bringing it to the attention of the head ref (who I guess was taking a nap through all of this)...

I'm tired of athletes like Serena Williams (and Brett Favre, and others) who question the media and try to instigate something with journalists too, after they fuck up. Where is a journalist out there who will read these selfish athletes the *riot act* in the press conference. Serena: "You mean YOU didn't see what happened?" Journalist: "I ASK the questions. YOU answer them. I'm trying to figure out how a champion could throw away a match like you just did. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?"

GRILL THESE selfish narcissists....

If I remember right, Serena did this a year or two ago, right after she made this big speech about sportsman like conduct and all that. She lost the following week and she says in her press conference, I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for me getting fined and acting like a spoiled brat because she lost!

My goodness, talk about a drama queen! I truly hope she isn't doing this to be the "bad girl" of tennis and expect something to come out of it to make her name bigger. I believe Tennis has no room for that kind of attitude! Disrespect! Especially considering this game is world over and has many countries represented, including America, the country she plays for. And to act like this.

She's played long enough to understand there is a winner and a loser. What does she expect to gain from this temper tantrum?

Well done Clijsters!!:hatsoff: Superb stuff, and the one to watch from here on in.

Thumbsdown: Serena Sisters and the Russian sexpot.

Who's going to win? :dunno:
Del Potro could be the first to win at Auckland and the US Open in the same year :D
