United accept 80 million for Ronaldo!

Re: United except 80 million for Ronaldo!

It was only a few weeks ago that both Fergie and Cry'aldo sat in a press conference and glared at a reporter when he mentioned Real Madrid.

Just shows what a pair of two-faced lying cunts they are..:thefinger

Re: United except 80 million for Ronaldo!

It is a gamble of the first order. His talent is not in question but football is still a team game and Real are poor in so many other areas.

Re: United except 80 million for Ronaldo!

(hefty) slice of the pie for the agent(s) .

Re: United except 80 million for Ronaldo!

So finally he's off to Real Madrid, Fergie must have plans! :)
The plan is Ribery. But the probleme Real Madrid also wants him and they've got their plan to get him an exchange Ribery for Robben+Van der Vaart (Van Gaal, Bayern's new coach, is dutch, he always like to havec dutch players in his teams).

The true is that Fergie didn't wanted to sell Cristiano but the amiunt given by Real was too much for the board to refuse so they order Fergie to accept.

Re: United except 80 million for Ronaldo!

First Kaka and now Cristiano Ronaldo? Real Madrid seems to be on a spending spree.

They still won't win Champions League next season.

It's things like this that make me appreciate the competitive balance and sanity that the NFLs draft, revenue sharing and salary cap achieve, and how it maintains the integrity of the sport. (Until they screw that up that is.)

New president Florentino Perez has 250.000.000 € to buy players.
Next targets : Franck Ribery (Bayern) and David Villa (Valencia).

THe Boston Red Sox had to pay $50mil to Dice-K's Japanese team to "speak" with the player. The transfer fee arrangement in World Football is similar. Teams pay a fee for the player and then pay the player a playing contract.

Kaka + Ronaldo = $$$$$$ extraordinary, mind-boggling dollar sum

Can these two even play together? Don't they each envision himself as the #1 scoring option? Will Kaka agree to play second banana to Ronaldo?

The New York Yankees have tried to spend their way to championships and it hasn't worked. Soccer is obviously completely different sport, but when egos collide...losing occurs, no matter the sport.

Madrid have done it in the past. Zidane, Figo etc, they had 3 maybe 4 good seasons, won the champions league the title a couple times but then the players started getting old. I do agree with you, you cannot buy your way to maintained success which is what Madris want, dominance. You need a manager who can control the dressing room and pick a team that can beat the team you are against. From what I have heard the Madrids manager is never the most powerful person in the dressing room. So I cant really see the Galactico's: part 2 working.

But what do I know :dunno::D

Neat beans if you ask me.

Ibrahimovic in Barca, Kaka and Ronaldo in Real Madrid - La Liga will be awesome next year

Same question was asked whn Barcelona get Henry in addition to Eto'o and Messi.
Bottomline, these 3, with Iniesta as playmaker, became probably the best team ever seen, scoring more than 104 goals in 38 championship games

The key thing now will be the defensive midfielders, they have to be great. Real already has Lasanna Diarra and they are looking to take Xabi Alonso.

this is great news!

It means that Man U will potentially lose and even if they are not effected at all, then we still won't have to see his annoying ass in the premier league anymore!

good deal if you ask me.

Well, that's it then: he's (Ron) an astute businessman :D
