For me i think spain come in to this competition as Favourites and yeah it would be foolish to rule out the german side(they won all 10 of its qualifying matches).
Personally i want England to win it but i cant see it happening:joint:

tartanterrier

Is somewhere outhere.
I think Spain will win this again and Germany will give them a close run for their money.

As for England I think they will do well to get through the group stage, but I just can't
see them winning it.As I don't think they are good enough to do it.

I hope to see some upsets happen though.Greece & Denmark have done it in the past
so you never know :D

1) Germany
2) Netherlands
3) Spain

Spain may have a good team but many of their main players are playing good this year (Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Torres, Piqué, Silva).
Germany has awesome guys such as Neuer, Gotze, Schweinstiger, Klose, Muller, Gomez

France won't even get to the 2nd round

Beware : Croatia may do pretty good...

Germany england finale wd be epic

I'll go for Spain, I think it it going to be close this year though. England won't do it, I don't see why they always see it as their year. I imagine they will get knocked out in the second round assuming they play Spain or Italy

These are the teams I think will get through each group

Group 1 Greece and Czech Republic
Group 2 Germany and Netherlands/Portugal
Group 3 Spain and Italy
Grou 4 England and Sweeden

Forget about England...

Group A
Russia and Czech Republic

Group B
Though one, but I think Germany and The Netherlands

Group C
Spain and Italy

Group D
France and England

Russia - Germany
The Netherlands - Czech Republic

Spain - England
Italy - France

The Netherlands - Germany
Spain - Italy

Here's the Final:
The Netherlands - Spain

Spain wins! (same as in the World Cup Final in South Africa... )
It's a shame, but they are the best.
Number 1 in the world vs number 2

I would say Spain, but no country has won back to back Euros. I'm thinking Germany. They have a good group of young players and haven't won anything in a while so they're due.

See 4-5 posts saying Croatia can do well, as a Croatia fan I don't think so, our best chance was 2008. I will be surprised if we can get out the group, the team has really struggled past few years minus the Turkey playoff win. The strikers are in good form, but wait till you see our defending  Modric also needs to step up, he hasn't done that well with the national team.

Only defense and consolation I can give is that we tend to be a good tournament team, one which plays better when they are underdogs and under pressure. They enjoy playing at the big stage moreso than having to go through qualification playing the likes of Malta, Latvia etc..where the lazily go through the motions :D

I don't really have a dark horse as I can't see anybody but Germany/Spain/Holland winning it. Maybe France if you consider them a darkhorse, remember France have failed to get out of the groups in 2008 and 2010. I feel they can be a dangerous team and if they avoid Spain in the quarters, they can go all the way. I was thinking of Russia, but the team out of Group A has a tough quarterfinal draw

I am actually picking Germany to win it, and if Spain and Germany both win their group they are on a collision course for the finals.

See 4-5 posts saying Croatia can do well, as a Croatia fan I don't think so, our best chance was 2008. This team has some holes and hasn't played a good game (other than the Turkey playoff match) in 2-3 years.

Only defense I can give Croatia is they we tend to be a tournament team, one which plays better under pressure and at the big stage rather than qualifiers against Latvia, Georgia and such

The French have always had great talent. Most of the Euro 2012 teams would love to have the players, that will not make the France's 23 man roster. But they've had bad team chemistry in the last few tournaments. If Ben Arfa, Nasri, Ribery, and Benzema are hot, they can beat anybody.

Would love to see England do it and if it all goes right they can, but in reality can't see past Spain winning the tournament.
