I never really think about whether it
should be just for amateurs or not, it is what it is. I had completely forgotten that story about Jenny, that was tragic. If it's true that her friends' disapproval was such that she ended her life rather than go on, I hope that guilt stays with them the rest of their lives.
I had forgotten P3 Idol had been going so long. Nicola T was such a long term fixture on P3 that I had forgotten that it was the competition that got her foot in the door. She went on to do CBB as well didn't she, for what that's worth. The rest have been a mixed bag. Apart from poor Jenny, you have Krystle who I remember her name only because of the unusual spelling, and Freya who I remember being pretty but nothing spectacular, either side of the incredible Keeley Hazell who is not just one of my favourite Page 3 girls ever but favourite models ever. I barely remember Keels actually gracing the newspapers themselves but I remember the scores of incredible shoots she gave to Loaded, Nuts and Zoo.
:boobies::rubbel:
You've also had Kelly Hall who has done well for herself despite not quite being on the level of an India, Rosie or Holly, Sam Cooke who I do like even though I tend to prefer darker hair on my P3 types, and had also forgotten P3 Idol was her break (and who managers to marry modelling with a pretty busy career as a DJ), and the aforementioned Lacey who is one of my absolute favourites of the moment with Sabine, still only 20 and the smallest rib cage in glamour at 26 inches. She's a tiny girl you could completely throw around the bedroom. And finally Lucy, who I love as an example of "not stick thin" and incredibly sexy and actually gets loads of messages from women telling her what a role model she is that girls don't have to be waifs to be desired or starve themselves to be thin and attractive. Plus she rocks the redhead.
I guess I just really want it for Mel. She's one of the coolest people imaginable and one of the most approachable models I've ever interacted with, and I'd love her to get as much such success as possible. Petite with smaller boobs, pale and inked are three things not usually associated with successful glamour models over here (unless you count Sophie Howard and Holly Peers who both became famous and successful models
before getting their big ink done, or else had it airbrushed out) and so I'd love Mel to be one to stand out as something different.
I really should have thought a bit harder about my username. This isn't the first time I've been confused for a "mrs". :weeping:
