Scovill, Sinclair, East 55th block you stand a 1 in 6 chance. SF like every city has dangerous spots but pales in comparison to East Cleveland.

Once upon a time in Miami, Euro foreign tourists were robbed daily trying to drive from the airport to Miami. There were no signs giving them a safe route around the 'hoods so many got lost. In the early 90s the city and airport put "sunshine signs" along the safest route helping tourists avoid the bad neighborhoods.

For these two SF guys there were no "sunshine signs" telling them to avoid the 'hood.
