BIG EXCLUSIVE: Jim Ross Has a Meeting With TNA Officials
by Nick Paglino
Apr 20, 2010

According to a high level source within TNA, Jim Ross has had a meeting with TNA officials concerning the possibility of signing with the company.

I was informed that within the past week or so, Ross met with both TNA President Dixie Carter and Dean Broadhead, the CFO of TNA, and the two sides discussed the possibility of Jim Ross signing with TNA. I was told TNA has interest in bringing JR into the company as they are still in the process of trying to "shake things up" on TV.

It should be noted that this was just a meeting, and should not be taken to mean that Ross has signed, or is going to sign with TNA.

Currently, JR is still under contract with WWE, but the deal expires on April 30th.

Update: More Details Behind The Jim Ross/TNA Meeting
by Nick Paglino
Apr 20, 2010

We were the first to exclusively report this morning that WWE announcer Jim Ross has indeed had a meeting with TNA officials.

In an update to the developing story, Jason Powell of ProWrestling.net has added that in addition to meeting with TNA officials, Ross has also had meetings with HDNet officials concerning the possibility of calling MMA or UFL Football games. Of course, one could speculate that calling Ring of Honor matches would have also been discussed, the but the report seems indicate that the two sides were talking more about football and MMA than wrestling.

Additionally, it was reported that Ross expressed an interest to do more in TNA than just broadcast, as he wanted to work as a behind-the-scenes man in the company, much like he did in WWE when he was involved in talent relations.

The general feeling coming out the of the meeting was that Ross was not interested in committing to TNA, and that he is looking to pursue other projects outside of pro wrestling if he does not re-sign with WWE.

by Matt Boone
Apr 20, 2010

The Monday Night War ratings are in.

WWE RAW scored either a 3.0 or a 3.1 (all of the ratings data is not completely in yet, but the show definitely did either a 3.0 or a 3.1 at the most).

TNA Impact scored a 1.0 last night.

I would think that he would just retire after his run with the WWE was cut short due to his condition.

jim ross is a legend no dought all tna needs now is tony shavoney or whatever his name is and it will be wcw all over again

I've got to say that was the best Impact! since Hogan and all came to the company - actual wrestling matches instead of all in-ring action being a jumble of non-stop run-ins and crappy brawling - and they gave the show some overall focus laying out the shape of the show with the Hardy-RVD match and the championship match - it was the first Impact! in quite a while that I didn't feel moved to change the channel quickly.

I thought the second hour of Impact was perfect. The Hardy vs. RVD match was the best free match of the month.

Meanwhile, the ME was just awesome! Great to see RVD as champ, again!

As for Jim Ross, idk if it will happen, but I would love to see him on TNA. I mean the WWE are using Michael Coleslaw and he sux balls. And, I like Taz. he is prob my fav guy currently doing commentary on wrestling.

Report: TNA To Reunite Homicide and Hernandez as LAX
by Nick Paglino
Apr 22, 2010

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that TNA has informed Homicide that he and Hernandez will reform the LAX tag team when Hernandez returns to TNA from Mexico. It should be noted though that Homicide is reportedly skeptical of TNA's plans as both Homicide and Hernandez were against the idea to split the tag team in the first place.

For those unaware, Hernandez is currently working down in Mexico, and he is expected to return to TNA TV in 2 months.

I just wish they would bring back Shelly Martinez. :(

Breaking News: Major Knockout Leaving TNA Wrestling
by Matt Boone
Apr 28, 2010

The following is an excerpt from a new blog from the official MySpace page of TNA Knockout Tara:

"I came to TNA last year because I still had a lot of wrestling left in me. I was paid a fraction of what I thought I deserved. But I wanted to show I was still at the top of my game. Now my contract is up in May. I want a modest pay increase. They don't want to pay me what I think is fair. I have no problems going my own way.

But about 12 hours after the conversation where we didn't agree on pay, unnamed sources claim that I am hard to work with and that I don't give my best effort. My only response is that TNA made an aggressive effort to re-sign me, among other things saying that they want to build the women's division around me. And I think wrestling fans see, both on TV and at live events, that I alwys give 100%. I take pride in that. Smeaering me on the way out the door is an act of second-rate character."
