Total Nonstop Action wrestling thread

Oh, I never said WWE was better! Both organizations are nowhere near as high as their potential. ROH still has the best in ring action of all the companies. TNA has the better roster, and WWE has the best personalities. It just seems like none of them can put it all together.

I agree with that statement. None of them have everything clicked into place. I can only imagine the way the business/talent meetings go.
I was just saying, by comparison to the other, I prefer it these days.

Funny, WWE Smackdown is on now and what am I doing? Checking out TNA stuff. :anonymous

Does everyone here not watch Ring of Honor? I thought they were 3rd biggest, or maybe I just think that cause I know a few ROH marks??

I would watch it but it's not available to me. Except for occasional PPV's.
The only reason I didn't bring it up was because it doesn't air on tv....at least not where I can see it.

Ex-TNA Talent Mocks Randy Savage's Death

According to multiple accounts, former WWE Tag Team Champion Brian Knobbs mocked Randy Savage's death at a wrestling convention last Friday in Newark, California.

A number of former WWE stars were on hand for Big Time Wrestling's annual Wrestlefest event last Friday at the Newark Pavilion including Bret Hart, Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, Jim Neidhart, Jerry Sags, Greg Valentine and Jimmy Hart. News of Savage's passing broke Friday and Knobbs was cracking jokes about the deceased wrestler later that day in front of his longtime colleagues.

Waltman, who witnessed Knobbs' mean-spirited behavior, took to Twitter to criticize the Nasty Boys member.

He wrote, "There's no shoot brewing with Knobs. He's just an a**hole for making jokes about Randy Savage dying on the same day it happened. He's pathetic."

Waltman also wrote the following to Hulk Hogan, a close friend of Knobbs': "I'm sorry to even bring you into Knobs BS, but he needs to be held accountable for once. You're the only one I know who can do it."

Savage's brother Lanny Poffo was also scheduled to appear at the event but canceled due to Savage's death.

ROH may be getting a TV deal soon.
I heard about this in passing, do you know what network is trying to pick them up cause I wasn't really paying attention but I'm interested to know...

I just hope it's not on VS or some other channel I don't have.

ROH was bought by Sinclair Broadcast Group. They have different affiliations in different markets but mostly you'll see MyNetworkTV and The CW. You'll also see FOX, CBS, ABC and in one market, NBC.

Report: TNA Star Sidelined Until 2012

Chris Sabin will be sidelined until 2012 after tearing both the ACL and MCL in his knee during a match last month on iMPACT!. He underwent surgery on his injured knee earlier this month.

Sabin suffered the injury during a match against Anarquia at the April 20 iMPACT! taping. He went for a springboard clothesline and tweaked his knee when the Mexican America member was out-of-position to receive the maneuver. The referee was instructed to end the match when it appeared Sabin was injured.

TNA Wants Nothing To Do With Chyna Due To Porn

It looks as if Chyna's return to wrestling with TNA is already over.

Chyna had been in talks with TNA for a long-term deal, but when they found out that she was working on an XXX film, they told her that if the film came out that the deal was off. Backdoor to Chyna gets released later this month, and Chyna doesn't seem to broken up about he TNA deal falling through, stating the following…

"The whole thing has been constant drama ... it's all good in the end ... [TNA Wrestling] is missing the boat."

That was Velvet Sky, not Angelina Love, at the beginning of the show.

Was happy to see Not So Great Muta get the victory last night.

AMW To Reform?, Beer Money To Split?

TNA officials had discussed pairing up James Storm and the returning Chris Harris to reform the America's Most Wanted tag-team. If this were to occur, Robert Roode would be moved to a singles wrestler with a big push. The plans were scrapped as Harris wasn't over as much as they had hoped for. There were also issues with his weight.

With that being said, there are still plans for Beer Money to split in the coming months.

This is no good. :nono:

I would hate to see that, but then again the tag team division in TNA is pretty dead. I mean Beer Money are having a match with the British Invasion at the PPV and I had completely forgotten about them since they have been on TV in a month and I watch TNA every week. Now Sabin is done until 2012, Team 3D split, Matt & Jeff (when not in court) are singles wrestlers, Generation Me was fighting each other, I'm not sure what EY and Orlando Jordan were other than a comedy bit.

I would hate to see them break up and get lost in the see of mid-carders and WWE rejects
