Top 10 Star Wars moments (don't worry, no prequels)

I'm definitely a giant star wars fan, but hate 'top ten' anything lists. It's all so subjective, and just a matter of what everyone likes and doesn't like.
See, I thought this one lacked a whole lotta the emotional punch that many of the other saber fights had. Great choreography, but a weak ending ("I have the high ground!"-- Wait, when did THAT ever come up or matter to them before?)
Meh- the added effects take a lot of abuse, but frankly, some of them really help the movies. I thought the death star battle in Ep. 4 looked a lot better with the CG ships in a few shots, and cloud city became a much more open, colorful set with the CG. But Greedo shooting first, replacing old Anakin with Hayden Christiansen at the end of ROTJ, and others.... Lucas needs a ball slap.
OK, I'm ready to take the heat for this. Boba Fett- most overblown, over popularized Star Wars character of the whole series. Flame away... :flame:
While Slave Leia being left out IS indeed criminal... I think Luke finding out about dad was in the #2 moment in the original post.

And furthermore, any moment where Lucas inserted a cute, wacky, or nutty sound effect in a lame attempt to evoke humor, or lighten an otherwise dark moment? Ball slap.

The perpetuating myth that Boba Fett is some kind of bad-ass is so overdone. He has a jet pack - so did the Rocketeer. When it comes time for battle, the man's Michael Bay - all style, no substance.

My favorite scene besides the dual on Bespin between Luke and Vader is the ending sequence in RotJ where Vader comes back to the light side and trows the Emperor down the pit.
I don't really like Boba Fett or the modern Mandalorians either but a lot of that could be due to the train wrecks of work of Karen Traviss has written than actually the basic concept of him and more early novels in which he appeared.

Yoda was never on the level Sidious was. (Now that I think about it taking all the Star Wars material ever made into account I don't even know if I could put Yoda in the top ten.)

Sorry if I cant agree, I like kenobi hes a good light saber duelist but when it comes to the force hes fucking shit, Obviously you didnt bother to read the link I provided that contains a pro yoda break down of the fight......If you read the entire thread you will even see points on why yoda didnt take kenobi with him to fight palpy....Fact is he would have been a liability his mastery of the force is not good....The dude really should have only been a jedi knight, never should have had master status sure in the original trilogy "canon" of the highest order, Kenobi knew he could not train luke.
Fact is Yoda could absorb and turn back Palpy's force storm....It isnt even lightening cause hes at the apex of it, in fact if your gonna spout expanded universe shit you would realise new order fucking luke couldnt negate palpy's ability during that cloning debacle.
As for all the other wank material....Exar Kun, Naga shadow, Knights of the old republic lore etc....There aint nothing in it I doubt Yoda wouldn't have been capable of if he had chosen....For example he may have denied his strength in the force when he was dying but thats really jedi acceptance of the natural order of things.....As for crashing star destroyers with the force and shit, You merely pay attention to original lessons with luke and the x-wing fighter.....Size means nothing next to the force.
If yoda had fell to the dark side the star wars universe would never have recovered. If you won't conceed my point on him being greatest force users at least conceed that he was one of the greatest light side users....In fact not even in the top ten what the fuck are you on about....Plz list your top ten so I can deconstruct them.

Revan can't really be considered for any list as he played both sides of the field, I would consider him a gray jedi to be honest in the end up. Jolee bindo would follow him in this category

Also I would like to point out another reason why I find kenobi saying that's ridiculous, In fact if I was there and was a jedi I would laugh in his face.....No one has been more fucking flookier than him!

this describes the movie Boba Fett. if youve read any of the expanded universe books, especially his 3 book story arc youll come to know his true badassery. he isnt blown out of proportion at all
Not sure I understand your point. Luke knew the "old" Anakin. He wouldn't recognize the young (Hayden Christianson) Anakin. Just as Obi-Wan appeared as "old" Obi-Wan, not Ewan McGregor.
This is one of the best dialogs in a movie ever! I'm pretty fond of the scene where Leia (wearing the slave girl outfit) positions the deck gun on Jabba's ship just before blowing it up. Nice legs!!! Oh and the lightsaber scenes in all the movies kick ass.
