You just contradicted yourself. You won't buy DLC because you say it's an unfinished game, but you will buy it if comes on a disc later.
Bringing it out on disc is what matters. It is not DLC if it is on disc as it wasn't obtained by download. But by purchasing it on disc. So I don't refer to it as DLC but as a retail purchase. Hence the reason why I wont buy DLC but I will buy it on disc.
The whole DLC should be on a disc argument never makes any sense because once you pop the disc in, you have to download it to your hard drive anyway. That's what happened when I bought the GOTY versions of Call of Duty 4, Fallout 3, and Gears of War.:dunno: I like having hard copies but for a few map packs or missions, I'd rather just download it. If I need room I can always delete them and re-download them.
Not always. Sometimes it is a stand alone pack when on disc.
Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare.
GTA: Stories from Liberty City.
To name but two. You don't always need to download to the hard drive before playing. And even with those games you do. It is still ten times better to have download content on disc than it is by obtaining it from online. As you do not need online access to stick it back on your HDD to play again, not if you have it on disc. This is why owning games and add on packs on disc rules.
I am not interested in downloads of map packs and multiplayer modes. I ignore that crap as I don't play online gaming. I refer to the DLC that supports single player mode gaming. I boycott the DLC and buy it retail. There's nothing contradicting about that as it is not download content if bought retail.
It needs to be downloaded and used to be classed as DLC.
