Even though I've lost whatever respect I had for Tiger as a person (he's still a hell of a golfer... a game which I couldn't care less about), this is a REALLY old story. The guy who told the story to me, I haven't worked with for a good ten years. So he'd heard it or read it somewhere at least that long ago. And even the story, as repeated in Charles Barkley's book, is from 2005. So here's what strikes me as odd about this: WTF is a (retired?) kindergarten teacher doing hiring Gloria Allred's ambulance chasing ass five years after the fact? In fact, how would a schoolmarm even get to know someone like Frau Allred anyway? Answer: an attention whore lookin' for a pay day.

When I was in elementary school a kid who was half Korean transferred to my school. Some kids shoved him into a corner and started questioning him about whether he was from North Korea or South Korea. The ring leader said that his uncle got killed by "gooks" like him during the Korean War and he was going to beat his ass. All that happened then was the teacher broke it up and told the bullies to leave him alone. Nothing else happened. Turned out the kid's dad was a White guy who met his mother when he was stationed in Korea (South Korea). Tiger's younger than I am but only recently has bullying become a big deal. Would I be shocked if his story was true and nothing was done? Nope.
