When I was in elementary school a kid who was half Korean transferred to my school. Some kids shoved him into a corner and started questioning him about whether he was from North Korea or South Korea. The ring leader said that his uncle got killed by "gooks" like him during the Korean War and he was going to beat his ass. All that happened then was the teacher broke it up and told the bullies to leave him alone. Nothing else happened. Turned out the kid's dad was a White guy who met his mother when he was stationed in Korea (South Korea). Tiger's younger than I am but only recently has bullying become a big deal. Would I be shocked if his story was true and nothing was done? Nope. Angelle Sampey (Seeling/Savoie) said a guy spit on her back when she first started drag racing and told her that "cunts like her didn't belong in drag racing." Shirley Muldowney put up with worse than Angelle did. And Wendell Scott put up with a LOT worse than either of them.
All I know is, this story didn't just come out last week. Like I said, it's a good ten years old. So when a rank & file teacher all of a sudden gets representation from the likes of Gloria Allred and wants an "apology" (aka, a check), my bullshit detector starts going off. If this didn't happen, why didn't she say anything before now??? And why the need for an extortionist lawyer? Easy answer: Tiger's image has cracks in it and now is the time to go after an easy pay day (IMO) - at least make enough noise that she can get a paid interview on some of those rag tabloid shows and tell her long, sad story of being a victim of a(nother) Tiger lie.
I was born at night... but it wasn't last night.
You don't think there's a good chance that Allred sought out the teacher and brought it to her attention? She's vindictive and miserable and she embedded herself in the Woods story as soon as it broke. I don't put it passed her to look for the teacher in order to pin something else on Tiger.
So, if that's the case and the teacher is just now reading Tiger's account, and it's bullshit, I think an apology request isn't unreasonable.
