Re: Threads to merge?
I didn't say I was surprised, just baffled! To me it's so obviously the name of a website that I really can't think why anyone should think that it's person's name.
Before I became a mod more than a year ago, I actually discussed this with Petra and Regina. They don't want to create profiles without a surname. I can understand that. Try finding material on a certain woman named Rebecca would be next to impossible. Google that and get more than 300 hundred millions results.
I explained their solution was severely flawed. Making up surnames was causing members to use search engines to look for names that would lead nowhere, but back to FreeOnes.
However, the problem turned out to be much worse. Other websites started using these made up names. I found these wrong names on: PornTeenGirl, Indexxx, NudeReviews and one on IAFD. In each case, I sent emails to the webmasters at those sites, explained the problem and they removed the names.
My solution was to be like other sites. Use the initials like Marina C, or do what members are doing in the threads, Marina @ Met-Art, but they didn't care for those suggestions.
Anyhow, if you can come up with a better alternative, I know I'd love to hear it, because the current method is failing miserably.
