The first way is to copy a thread link, go to the thread to be merged, click Administrative, click Thread to be merged, paste the link, and then do a couple more steps. When doing 2 threads, this is tedious, and with several threads being merged into one, it's just a pain in the ass.
The second way (my favorite) is to do a search (by title and section) and then click the box by each thread you want to merge. This is the easiest way when merging several at the same time, which is what I did.
On this merge, here's what happened: You had 4 threads, I did the search, in the Favorites, by title, and got 4 results. I merged all 4 and didn't bother to check the links to see if they matched. I got 3 of your 4, but 1 of your links had her name misspelled in the title, so the search did not pick that up, but that thread is now merged. This also means that you missed a thread of her to be merged.
As for the old links that give a No Thread specified error when clicking them, that's because when I merged the threads, I unchecked the redirect box. The threads were merged, but only one link remains active. I rarely do that, but in the case, I did.
