Btw super late edit, Colorado streams are drying up and we're trying to irrigate with what little we have left. Been busy digging ditches. And figuring out how to liveboot macOS sonoma. (Mac REAALLLY isnt my thing and Rufus/Etcher make a disk, YES. Holding apple key for 10 seconds gives me the boot menu but OMFG the secondary disk isnt showing)
Go figure, my secondary problem is actually waaaay easier to solve. Reinstalled a secondary OS, a linux distro but the realtek driver isnt spot-on cuz realtek doesnt release drivers until a friggin year later. Easy fix by utilizing previous driver.
sudo unxz /usr/lib/firmware/rtw89/*.xz
