I see him eye to eye on some areas, certainly not this, but he was probably chased far off context, if not... who knows. I ignore that area for the most part (politics) it's retarded. No true debate from either side, why bother. I'm sure many of the thousands of other members here would agree on that, but I still come back, I miss the old days actually, can't do shit about that though, they're gone.

There's more to it than that, though. Will posts his opinion as fact then runs away throwing emoticons behind him like an oil slick trying to get away when people call him out on his bullshit. I can discuss just about anything with just about anyone, but it takes two to have an honest debate, and he's anything but honest.

The context was this: Maryland was planning to abolish the death penalty, and Will thinks they should pay in innocent blood. It's post #9 in the thread. His first post in the thread. He wasn't chased anywhere, that was what Will himself decided would make a good starting place for the discussion. When people called him on it he got evasive, and started leveling threats instead of just admitting he was being a dick and taking a few seconds out of his day to apologize for being stupid and insensitive.

I don't know of anyone that you've offended. Will, Sam, and a few others have quite a laundry list of people they've offended, though I'm really not offended by either of them, really I just feel kind of sad for their obvious lack of intellect and ability to hold a reasonable discussion. Facepalms, tongue-sticking-out's, and whatever other stock emoticons Will tosses around instead of actual discussion, and Sam going for shock value with some the images he posted is a poor substitute for staking out a position, backing that position up with rhetoric, pertinent facts in the form of links, and general good-will towards those with whom you're having a disagreement or discussion. Seeing people act like they're on the payroll of Fox News or MSNBC gets incredibly tiresome.

Yeah, I miss Dirk too. And I also miss Elwood (my Keith Richards lovin' brother-in-arms doesn't post much anymore) and Ulysses. There are several posters who added MUCH to the board, who have either closed their accounts, don't post much anymore or have left over the past year. I understand that's the nature of boards like this (people get tired of the same-old-same-old and/or the associated bullshit) and many, many posters have come & gone over the years. But yeah, there are still some that we miss (more than others).
