The worst heavy metal songs

In 2009, to celebrate the 20th Wacken Open Air, they asked Doro to create a song that would celebrate the festival, Metal and "metalheads".
I think we all agree that neither WOA or Metal or even metalheads deserved such a lame song :suicide:

Still, I usualy like Doro...

LOL @ glorifies Satan

I see where you are going with that bullshit. And that't OK. But I think that people should be allowed to believe in what they believe as long as they keep it to themselves.

too much misinformation...

Dude, you're out of your element. Some of that post is fact. Some opinion and some speculation. Oh, sorry, I guess I should've said they have three songs that are ALMOST metal. It's all open to interpretation. I'm really getting sick of you attacking my posts with your worthless opinions in three words or less. I know what I'm talkin' about. I contribute information of real value and you've got nothing. Just feeble attempts to make yourself appear better than me. Fuck off.

We seem to have a very different view about metal. For me, it is Devil's music. At least most of it. And I've been listening to metal for about 20 years, so I think that I know something about it. And rock too. That doesn't mean that they have to sing about Satan, it means that they rebel against christianity and every other religion that is out there. They sing about individuality.

Oh fuck my poor english.

I think metal probably has more in common with nihilism the anything. But everyone's got their own take on it. It makes sense that so many bands would identify with Satan. Satan is the ultimate archetype of rebellion. The Hebrew meaning of Satan after all is adversary. That's why I think the people in Norway who started the second wave of Black Metal had the right idea. They made it a threat again. The words aren't as impotant as the meaning of the words.

I think two of the bets Black Metal bands going today are Blood Storm and Absu. I like the direction they take it in with their lyrics. They're not the typical satanic lyrics. They're based on things like ceremonial magic(k), Chaos Magic(k), Sumerian mythology and the Necronomicon. They're both into the dark side of magic(k) so they have a lot in common with Satanists. Even ceremonial magicians have a lot in common with Satanists. Look at Crowley.

@ Dino Velvet, I like the way you look at it. Having fun with your beliefs is basically what chaos magicians do. I love that you can express yourself like that with music.

Mason Popoff, earlier you mentioned Sarcofago. So you must know that it wasn't really norwegians who started that scene, it arose all over the world. Impaled Nazarene from Finland, Sadistik Exekution from Australia, Profanatica from US, Sarcofago (or even Sepultura in their early days) from Brazil, Root from Czech etc.

I don't know if you follow black metal-scene, but there are shitloads of bands who sing about magick these days.
