AMC digs up comic book classic with wonderful ‘Walking Dead’

AMC has been the place to go for ad men, meth makers and spy dramas. Now they're throwing zombies into the mix.

It may seem like an odd choice at first blush, but it really isn’t. AMC, the cable network that boasts “story matters here,” has got one heck of a story in The Walking Dead. And a pretty fascinating back story as well.

Debuts Sunday, Oct. 31 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.

Been reading the comics since they came out in 2003 & I saw the first episode at a buddy's place the other night. The show is very faithful to the comics and the acting is very good. It's going to be a great series. Glad that it will finally get started tonight!

Definitely a show I'll check out. There is not one bad or mediocre AMC original series. Why should a zombie series based on a great graphic novel be the exception?

aMC has been really pumping out the Horror movies. I love it. Wish they'd play Horror movies every month one after another.

I'm ok with that. It will leave you wanting more without getting old, which I'm sure it would eventually. It's a pretty huge production as well, it would cost a fortune to pump out 13+ episodes...
