If 'God' is caring / loving etc.. then why did he apparently send plagues of locust down on people / drown pursuing armies in the red sea / turn Lot into a pillar of salt / Punish Eve with pain-of-childbirth / Destroy sodom and gomorrah... and so on

Seems to me that God is more of a spiteful /vengeful egomaniac with a lust for blood.
He wants us all to to follow his example, yet his example is frankly appalling.. surely if we did as he did, we'd all go around killing each other.. oh right, we ARE doing that.. job done almighty one :thumbsup:

As the ten commandments say 'Thou shalt not kill' .. obviously this doesn't apply to everyone!
