 BAE Systems working on spider-bots , other ways to scare you to death
:helpme: ! !

Do you enjoy gangs of tiny, spider-like robot insectoids swarming all over your house, car, or personage? If you answered "yes," you're going to love what BAE Systems is cooking up. The company recently received an infusion of $38 million from the US Army Research Lab to fund the Micro Autonomous Systems and Technology (MAST) consortium; a team of scientists and researchers hell-bent on developing an "autonomous, multifunctional collection of miniature intelligence-gathering robots that can operate in places too inaccessible or dangerous for humans."

I just know when they release these things, they're going to be hell-bent on crawling up my ass. And that, my friends, is a most egregious invasion of privacy.

^ ^It IS ! :yesyes: indeed

Let us all now recalibrate our false and unwarranted obsession with climatological fluctuation and begin a fresh new assessment of our micro- environmental issues . . . for a change . . . shall we ?

Aforementioned post goes out to no one in particular , intended for all audiences. . . . .. .. .. ... ... ... lie !! :D

Well, all kidding aside, this has the potential of being a disaster. Sure the military is interested in them right now, but who's to say the CIA and other government agencies won't get into using them as well. If the Bush administration had these, there's no telling what domestic spying initiatives they may have taken up. We can only hope that these machines will be used in an ethical way and not to spy on innocent civilians.

The government.... developing something... this is sure to be released next week. Well, all right- twenty years from next week.

There's a LONG journey between what they'd *like* to develop, and it actually seeing the light of day.

Besides, with their idea to get DNA samples from EVERYONE on, and visiting, the British Isles, they're stacking up some mighty lofty goals.

Spiders? The Spiders From Mars?

Are these gonna be nano bots? Well regardless. I don't trust the idea of giving machines that much intelligence!

Think about it. A machine that can think for itself and yet at the same time has no conscience or morals...not good my friends...not good at all...

I can't wait 'till the dummy replicas are available in baggies of 144 like those green army men figures we remember ever so fondly as kiddos :D

Wouldn't that be a good way to fuck with peoples' heads ?
Sort of drop a small hand full of them around a neighbor's front door . . . maybe a few on the window sills lol !

Are They Real . . . .Are They Watching ?

:jester:

Like your home. :helpme:

I was trying to think of a quote portraying the rise of the machine race crushing humanity but it just seems a tad morbid so I'm going to go with

“I was right in the middle of a f**king reptile ***, and somebody was giving ***** to these goddamn things”
