ok, well heres one thing about those previous seasons that has come to be important in the last episode.
In season one and two Aciveda was the captain of the barn. During that time some enemy of his put a gun to his head and made Aceveda either give him a BJ or die. Aceveda gave him head with a gun to his head.
The guy took pictures. A few episodes later Aceveda killed him, but the damage was already done.
Now you know that rich spanish guy aceveda been freinds with lately? The guy who's somehow mixed up in the brutal mexican slayings?.He's like some rich developer or something.
In the last episode he gave vic a photo of Acevida giving the BJ. He said do what you want with it, just don't connect it to me.
Thats how Vic is gonna keep his job, probably.

Also that was pretty fucked up what Billings did to Dutch in that last one. Setting him up to see tina getting nailed, poor dutch..........

Not to be a stickler for details,but first of all that whole bj incident with Aceveda actually happened in season 4 not 1 or 2 and Aceveda didn't kill him.He had Antione Mitchell use one of his henchmen to kill him while he was in jail.

Just tryin' to keep the facts straight for you folks.

Ok it happened in season 3 the episode titled MUM.

The public reason was to search the home more closely, but he was actually hoping to find evidence to incriminate Vic Mackey. However, this would cost Aceveda dearly. Two gang members, Juan and Ricky, returned to the home and overpowered Aceveda. Restraining him and taking his weapon, Juan forced Aceveda to perform oral sex on him at gun point, taking a photo using a camera phone for posterity. It appeared that Aceveda was going to be killed, but the arrival of Mackey and the Strike Team scared the two off.

Aceveda followed Ricky over a period of several months, killing him when he robbed a Korean grocery store. He recovered the picture in the process, and eventually caught Juan. After threatening his family, Aceveda put Juan in prison.

However, the incident would scar Aceveda mentally for months to come. He became estranged from his family and eventually began having a violent affair with a prostitute, re-enacting rape fantasies with intensifying brutality until he eventually pulled a gun, essentially attempting to re-enact his own rape. Horrified, Aceveda cut off relations with the hooker and seemed to make peace with himself.

Juan, wanting revenge, threatened to tell all who would listen about his "relation" with David. Fearing the damage it would do to his image, Aceveda made a deal with imprisoned drug lord Antwon Mitchell to have Juan killed in exchange for his freedom. The two did fulfill their own parts of the bargain, though Mitchell was imprisoned again after Captain Monica Rawling sacrificed her career to keep Mitchell behind bars. It seems Aceveda has put the incident behind him.

the last show was great. I keep waiting for Dutch to flip out and do something really bad! i think he kills Tina and/or rapes her!
Billings prank was AWESOME! Dutch got what he deserved for being a whiny bitch about the teasing! serves him right!

Let me know what you thought. I thought it was excellent. I didnt really understand towards the end when vic walked out of the hearing. He left and seemed to know exactly where to find that guy with the trunk full of leverage to keep his job. I cant explain how he knew exactly where to find that guy.
And this show never has any loose ends, so there must be a reason.

Finally after a delay for 2 years, The Shield season 3 was released in PAL territories last April.
And to make up for the delay, word is that season 4 will get a PAL release this July.
Anyway, The Shield is definetly my favorite tv show.
It gives a clear portrayal of what the darker side of the law can get you into.

One of the biggest plusses for me regarding The Shield has to be the way it's been shot. The grainy images and camera-angles give the show a unique feeling wich reminds me of Oz. (another great series BTW.)

By the way, what do you guys think of the music tracks that are being played throughout the show ?
Kid Rock's "Bawitdaba" was an excellent choice at the end of the pilot episode.

Yeah but the loose ends always end up tied, explained realistically. oh yeah shane is in deep, now he's got everybody in with him. He's gotta die, sad but true. At least he saved Vics wife and daughter from being killed(even though it was his fault they were in danger.
Yeah , no gasp, but a descent end, Vic and Assevida are hooked up and have some leverage, I like how Vic asked him" Are you ready for this?". That should have been the end.
Now what? another 9 months until season 7? ughhhhhhhhhhhh.

I liked it, but with only one season left (at least that what they say!) there are so many things to resolve. i was a bit dissapointed, probably just because of last season's finale. I guess I was just expecting a punch to the gut like last time!
I can't wait for the next one. . . I just wish there was more!

i dont think you can compare a show on premium cable to a show on basic cable. on hbo you have more to work with. ie. language, violence, gore, etc.

They are pretty damn close though,almost everything but saying "fuck".
I really never gave two shits about the Sopranos,so yeah,you can't compare them.The Sopranos is just the same old mob sit imo.At least the Shield isn't the same old formulaic cop drama.To put it bluntly,the Shield is the best show on tv hands down without question. :2 cents:

I wasn't really comparing the shows. I don't watch the Sopranos either, but I heard so much about how the finale resolved nothing and was so inconclusive that I would be distraught if the ended The Shield in the same manner!

I agree that it is the best show out there!

I don't think the season finale was that bad. It had an incredible amount of info, more than some shows have in a whole season.
So Shane is in deeeper than ever and Vic teamed up with Aceveda.
It ended with Vic having some serious leverage to regain his job. But know the wait..........7 or 8 months?, Oh dear.
