It was fucking weird then too. We need a 🐬 to opine.Couple more, because when you're talking about the shittiness of republicans, there is no end to the material.

Maybe she just disagrees with the policy. A Democrat in a swing state is a bit different than one from a solidly blue state. If anyone hasn't seen it, here is the vid of sinema's thumbs down to raising minimum wage. It clearly shows her walking in, giving mcconnell a pat on the back and sharing words with him before her flamboyant act.
When asked about this, her office responded by saying Commentary about a female senator's body language, clothing, or physical demeanor does not belong in a serious media outlet. In other words, it's sexist to talk about her shitty act.
I hate to sound q-anon like, but for the first time, I'm starting to wonder if some of these red state dems might actually be republican plants. Can't come up with any other explanation for this miserable cunt, everything about her screams republican to me. I imagine she'd be right at home with taylor greene or boebert. Or does mcconnell have something on her, or make some credible threat? Why make such a show of buddying up to him? Is it just because she's scared of her repub constituents?
Way to jump to conclusions. Please quote where I said or argued full-time employees should live below poverty. So you think an argument can be made for someone having a full time job and still living below poverty?
State and local governments have set minimum wages where appropriate and necessary. There are pros and cons to a federal minimum wage. Any fair-minded person would recognize $15.00 per hour is woeful in New York City, San Francisco, et al.Maybe she just disagrees with the policy. A federal minimum wage is not a no-brainer in my opinion.

I did not state a full-time employee should live below the poverty line. You won't find it to quote it.Maybe she just disagrees with the policy. A Democrat in a swing state is a bit different than one from a solidly blue state.

Plus, what is so arbitrary about $15.00? Why not $20.00?
Who said anything about a ceiling? It's a floor, not a ceiling.
We need to pay with both higher taxes and higher prices. When the consumer continually looks for - and purchases - goods with lower prices, the suppliers will accommodate them. Manufacturers will then go lower by finding cheaper labor in order to cut costs. There is something to be said for a Federal minimum. I say that because there already is a substantial one. It's called Welfare, Snap, Section 8 housing, etc. These are the Government programs people rely on when wages don't allow them to afford to pay cash to live. So one way or the other we all pay for a minimum. Either with higher taxes or higher prices. I know I mentioned when my wife worked for Mercury Insurance out of California they would send a letter to their lower paid employees telling them what government programs they might be eligible for. But not to worry cause the suckers won't believe it anyway.
gmase. gmase, gamase.. What about those folks who are already paying big taxes(I know one place) and really and truly cannot afford to pay 5-10% more in higher taxes plus a big increase in retail prices? One of the reasons cheap stuff is popular is that a lot of folks can only afford that. Maybe 40% of the populace? Remember the story about what 60% of Americans don't have $400 lying around for emergencies? And maybe not making minimum wage but not a $30.00 per hour job either. Some folks are like me, Cheap. And of course Keeping up with the Jones(remember hat old chestnut) is a big factor as well. Remember the primary rule of Capitalism, Buy or build as low as possible and Sell as High as possible. The issue today is that the societal norms that once kept things calmer are gone. Shame at being just too rich and flaunting it. Pressure to do good works as the churches used to teach. We are now much more than I think we have been in a long time(To Quote Curly) "All for One, One for all, and every man for himself. We need to pay with both higher taxes and higher prices. It's easy to agree with you there. Who are the companies deserving to go out of business? I could personally do without fast food.In my philosophy any business that can't get by with paying their workers a decent living wage so they can have an adequate standard of living just doesn't deserve to be in business in the first place.
Stop dealing with reality @bubb. It is not becoming of you. As D-rock states above, if you can't pay you can't play.gmase. gmase, gamase.. Damn you with more reality. I thought it was all castles and royalty over there.Once wages overseas were low enough to make them and shipping costs to the US lower, even by a small amount. US industry was basically doomed. The Ronald ended unions and The Former GOP put a big dent into as many employee protections as possible the end was in site. I watched a Public TV show few year ago called Victorian Slum House which basically showed the evolution of tenement life from the 1800's to the early 20th century in London. Very educational. I put a link to it below. I am afraid of a reverse Back to the Future if we keep going as we have. Take a look and let us know what you think

On statement one, Ask MeganDamn you with more reality. I thought it was all castles and royalty over there.
Your comment on Reagan ending the unions brings up a question: How can the party of capital also be the party of the 'working class' as they are now branding themselves?

Ted Cruz at CPAC: the GOP will be “the party of steel workers and construction workers and pipeline workers and taxi cabdrivers and cops and firefighters and waiters and waitresses and the men and women with calluses on their hands who are working for this country.”
If the Republicans really believed in this message, wouldn't they support the federal minimum wage, stimulus checks, worker protections, and better access to healthcare for these workers?
Great Republican once said "A house divided against itself cannot stand."

Don't pee on me and tell me it's raining.Jesus fucking christ how many times do you have to be told???? It's ALL about to start trickling down, just give it a god damn minute! They gave trillions in tax cuts to the rich just a couple years ago, the trickle is on its way!
