>>>The Republican Party Is The Problem

Well I learned a long time ago, arguing on the internet, is like being in the special Olympics.

Someone might win, but in the end, everyone is still retarded.
No one wins which makes it even worse. The participation trophy makes it all worthwhile.

Thank you for the inspiration. There may be a new thread on the way. 🤔

Other than Dino and yourself, most other Republican-leaning board members find self-control too difficult. They eventually get banned.

It’s not a good idea to lose your mind over politics and politicians. Why do people stick their necks out staking their reputations to defend someone who cares nothing about them? Jimmy Carter might have been the last decent man we elected as President even though most people think he wasn’t an effective President. In 2024 we may have to choose between a Corpse and a Crook again.

I'm thinking neither one will be on the ticket. Trump is going to be way too tainted and Biden is certainly way too old. He is most effective at 'not-being-Trump' and doing a very fine job at it. I have been wrong on both Trump and Biden before, so please ignore my opinions.

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I'll tell you this, if the republican party is stupid enough to give the nom, back to trump, and biden runs again, the libertarian party better fucking jump on the opportunity, or I'll fucking run, and I can guaran-fucking-tee you this, when I'm not happy, everybody cries.

Who knows? What other whores would the two parties trot out to click their heels and impress us with? Imagine Little Marco running against Petey the Peter Puffer?

I want to see Hillary back on the voting block, if just to see the GOP lose its mind completely

If you wanna see the GOP lsing its mind, having AOC on the block could be as fun as having Hillary, if not even more funnier.
But to see GOP's head exploding, live on national TV, the best democratic candidate possible would be Ilhan Omar...

The only way Republicans will lose their minds is if Trump doesn't run for president.
Whether Trump runs or not, when Republicans lose the 2024 election it will be the same "the election was stolen" BS like the last election.
Many people predict that another Republican loss will probably trigger another more violent "Jan. 6".
The only way to fix the republican party and stop the growing division of Americans is to get rid of Trump.

Jan. 6th was not a grassroot movement. It's been organised from the top :
Scott Johnston — who worked on the team that helped plan the Ellipse rally — claims that leading figures in the Trump administration and campaign deliberately planned to have crowds converge on the Capitol, where the 2020 election was being certified — and “make it look like they went down there on their own.”
[...]
Johnston says he overheard Mark Meadows, then-former President Trump’s chief of staff, and Katrina Pierson, Trump’s national campaign spokeswoman, talking with Kylie Kremer, the executive director of Women for America First, about plans for a march to the Capitol
[...]
Kremer’s group, Women for America First, helped lead the Jan. 6 rally at the White House Ellipse, where Trump delivered a speech and told supporters to “fight like hell” and said he expected them to march on the Capitol. “We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore,” Trump said. As Trump spoke, people began leaving the rally to walk toward the Capitol.
[...]
Johnston’s account suggests there was a deliberate strategy by Trump’s allies to have supporters descend on the Capitol. Such a connection would implicate top White House and campaign officials in drawing crowds to Congress without a permit — a step that could have required added security and may have allowed law enforcement to better prepare for the day’s events. Those crowds overwhelmed the Capitol police and engaged in an hours-long battle with law enforcement. Four people died during the attack.

According to Johnston, rally organizers were “constantly” using “burner phones” — cheap, prepaid cells that can be harder to trace because they’re not personally identified with a user or a user’s account — “to talk about” potential permits and plans for a march with Trump aides.

In 2024, they won't be able to organise this from the top 'cause Trump people won't be at the top.
And, since people like us are afraid this kind of things could happen again in 2024, you can bet FBI, NSA, etc. are on it too that the people leading these groups will hzve surveillance on them, that their phones will be recorded. Maybe they already are.
And, thanks to, Jan. 6th investigations, intelligence service and law enforcement agencies might get the blueprint of such events.
Not even mentioning that, due to their legal issues after they gave voice to Trump's administration claiming voting machines were rigged, Fox (an probably other conservatives networks like OAN or Newsmax) will think twice before goiing down that path again...

How would AOC and Omar get through the gauntlet of daggers the other Democrats have waiting for them?

They wouldn’t. Like Boebert and Greene, they rely upon a safe House district. Their appeal beyond their own district is limited. What works in the Bronx does not work in Colorado’s Western Slope.

I like how non-US citizens use ‘us’ when discussing American politics. 🤷‍♂️

Exactly. Boebert and Greene are the GOP version of AOC and Omar. None of the four are serious contenders for anything outside of their districts.

I like the last sentence too.

Republican Senator Says Supreme Court Should Have Never Legalized Interracial Marriage

Mike Braun tried to walk back his comments, but his answer to a question about judicial “activism” was pretty explicit

Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings have devolved into a festival of racist dog whistles, so much so that Republican senators who aren’t even on the Judiciary Committee are trying to get in on the action.

Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.) went so far as to tell reporters on Tuesday that he doesn’t believe interracial marriage should be legal nationwide, before later walking back his comments, claiming he didn’t understand the question. The question, however, was pretty explicit.
“You would be okay with the Supreme Court leaving the issue of interracial marriage to the states?” Braun was asked.
“Yes,” he said. “If you are not wanting the Supreme Court to weigh in on issues like that, you are not going to be able to have your cake and eat it too.”

The remarks came after Braun told reporters that he didn’t want a justice who was an “activist,” and that the court’s decision on Roe v. Wade was an example of such activism. Braun argued that such issues should be left up to the states and that striking down Roe would bring “it back to a neutral point, to where that issue should never have been federalized.” This prompted the question about whether he felt the same way about interracial marriage, which the court legalized in 1967, to which Braun, again, said yes.

He tried to walk back the comments.
“There is no question the Constitution prohibits discrimination of any kind based on race, that is not something that is even up for debate, and I condemn racism in any form,” he said, according to NBC News.

Jackson is the first Black woman to be nominated to sit on the Supreme Court. She introduced her husband, who attended the hearing with one of their daughters, in an emotional moment on Monday. “I have no doubt that without him by my side from the very beginning of this incredible professional journey, none of this would have been possible,” she said. “We met in college more than three decades ago, and since then he’s been the best husband, father, and friend I could have ever imagined. Patrick, I love you.”

Maybe Kamala would be the one to make Republicans lose their mind. They don’t seem to like black women.

After the mid-terms, Biden should retire and make Kamala Harris President, and AOC vice-president.
Republicans would have extreme conniption fits that they would buy every gun and ammo they can find.
