Stuff staying the same when it makes it to home release, rather than missing the original soundtrack and having really terrible stock music in it's place because the studio is too cheap to pay for the rights to use the songs. That needs to come back. Never seemed to be a problem with VHS releases, but some DVD sets of old shows suffer terribly from it. When Dr Sam Beckett gets it on with the hot psychic, it just isn't as romantic without Foreigner playing in the background, DAMN IT!

I couldn't have said it better myself! There are some good movies but you never hear about them, all the marketing is for the movies you just spoke about. All CGI, cardboard cut outs as actors (I'm talking about you Mark Wahlberg) and no plot.
So much modern music is basically the same way. Auto-tune, sampling a part of a song and then trying to claim it as their own (Kanye, Kid Rock), covers of songs that sound EXACTLY like the original (Michael Booblay) and talentless 16yo twats called Justin Bieber. Fuck off and die you money grabbing whores. It's no wonder every band or singer before 1999 is coming back. Some of them are good but some should stay hidden, like Vanilla Ice.
More original programming on tv would be good too. Not clones of endless make believe 'reality' shows. And here in Aussie, I would like Aussie TV humour pleaaaaaaaaaaaase. I grew up on the stuff and every culture needs to take the piss out of themselves. But we don't anymore and it saddens me. Only comedy (besides The Chaser) we get now seems to come from overseas. I mean I like my fair share but we need more home grown stuff too ffs. But the bean counters at the networks keep cancelling shows after 2 weeks because it didn't rate well! Fark what shows rated well after 2 weeks? Most take time to get a following, look at Seinfeld as an example.
Another thing I'd like back is AFFORDABLE housing. Not where the average house price starts at 400k ffs.
How about bank accounts with Absolutely NO bank fees? Why can't they bring them back? Oh right the shareholders, they have to be able to buy more houses so they can rent them out to the unforunate ones who can't afford to buy a house! I want the OLD AUSTRALIA back where everyone used to be able to get a 'fair go', unless you were aboriginal of course. I realised I just got a bit political but it's good to vent lol or I would end up doing this :ak47:

Special effects in movies that took time and talent to make, a la Rick Baker, Rob Bottin, Tom Savini, etc. I'm sick of all this computer animated, digitized, fake realistic crap.
YES. Next Gen had some brilliant looking space battle scenes using black lights, polystyrene and all that old junk, and from what I've heard about animation, it doesn't work out any cheaper filming CGI. Nothing wrong with super-imposing people and stuff onto pictures of other stuff, but spaceships made of crap always look better than spaceships that someone drew on a computer.
Oh, and cartoons someone drew on a computer < cartoons someone drew with a pencil.
