My camera guy and roommate took care of the garden this year - tones of huge sunflowers, tomatoes, squash corn etc.
Squally, don't you get another season of planting?
I got 1 ugly tomato off my pineapple heirloom last month. Tasted great and was so meaty BUT THAT WAS JUST ONE FUCKING TOMATO!!! Right now there is another one there. Still green and not nearly as large as I had found in pictures. My romas have popped some. I thought they would be the size as store plumbs but no. Bigger than grapes but when I only get 3 or 4 I may be doing something wrong. They are lacking flowers. Can I still get some better fruit? It's not too late, is it? I have been giving them their food. Give them a drink when leaves start to droop.

I am thinking of getting a new place, if possible, a vegetable garden will be happening.
Is there any veggies you guys would like to do if you could?
Well, no veggies for me this year. The climate and drastically changing weather in the NL makes it really hard to figure out what I can get away with or not. So this year it's herbs and flowers.
I totally redid my garden and pulled out the 2 big raised beds and paths. This way I got more space. I've planted the herbs and some violas, 2 new hortensia and all of the open space you see has been seeded with livingstone daisies (ice flowers) which fucking love the full son and are good ground cover. I still need to get the sides along the shed and fencecleaned up...that's this coming weekend's project. Then I need to get something to put in there. I'm also putting stain on the fence to freshen it up since it's looking pretty sad at the moment.
Then when the weather gets a bit better I'll be pulling out the pressure washer to take care of the crap still on the patio.
Can't wait for everything to get into a full bloom!
Oh, it's a pleasant fatigue after cleaning the garden)First Garden Post of 2018! Pulled out the mow and mowed down the Sunflower rows yesterday, the ol' rake and hoe muscles are aching this morning, Spring is almost here in East Texas.
I need to take pics of our back garden.
I decided that I'm downsizing the growing area and we worked the past few weeks to put in sand and gravel in most of the garden. Now I'm working on getting the garden portion weeded and cleaned up. I already have a rhubarb plant that really seems to be loving his lot in life, cat nip, chives that have managed to survive 3 winters now and a bay leaf tree that had to be severely cut down this spring.
I'll probably plant some rosemary and sage since my 2 bushes died over this past winter (rosemary was almost 8 years old and the sage close to 10). I also have 4 lovely ladies I've named the Mary Janes that need to go into the ground this coming weekend.
Mary Janes - garlic?)
Should I grow peas? I like peas. They are the impatient person's friend as well. They grow so damned fast.
