Another good race.

Pleased for Bottas to get his first pole but I had a feeling things would go badly for him during the race.

Good that pole position isn't everything, and the on-track action hasn't been bad considering the amount of concern about not being able to follow and pass other cars.

Saw some footage from last season the other day by the way - makes you realize just how different (and better) this season's cars look. Almost looks like a different formula if you go back to last year.

It all got rather exciting towards the end. Would Lewis catch Seb or not?
Not enough in the end but if Lewis hadn't had that slow in to the pits which got him the 5 second penalty, it could have been extremely close indeed.

I think that if Lewis had been on supersofts he would have made them last for the 13 laps and caught up with Seb. It was still an exciting race! Happy to see that we will have a fight for championship this year. :)

Not sure about the supers. They, surprisingly, appeared to be slower for everyone hence his team putting on the softs. Lewis did question it at the time.

I suppose you're right, but I assumed that with the track being cooler since it was night and the softer tire compound of the SS, it would provide more grip.. and with the cooler track they wouldn't ******* as fast. Either way, I'm happy with how it played out since Vettel is one of my drivers in my fantasy league. Although Sainz and Verstappen were my other two so it didn't do much. HA!

I, for one, would LOVE to see someone like Carlos Sainz at Ferrari next year. I think he gets better and better, you can see his improvement every season and I believe he would do more in a Ferrari than current day Raikkonen.

I remember the McLaren and (first go-around) Ferrari Raikkonen. He even had some decent early drives while at Lotus. But the one that we've had the past couple of seasons, I kind of wish that he'd move (or be moved) aside to make room for a new hot shoe. Sainz would be my choice. I just think there is so much potential there.

The end result of Bahrain didn't exactly make my weekend. ;) But it was a good, hard race. Too many mistakes on Lewis' and Mercedes' side though. Ferrari and Vettel have brought their A game this season. It's pretty amazing to see. As long as Lewis takes the WDC by 1 point, I'm perfectly fine with Ferrari winning the WCC. :D

P.S. Anyone else think that Alonso will be at Renault (again ) next season?

I wonder how this will affect ***** India??? Hey, if he's truly a crook, then so be it. But I have to admit, I've been pulling for this little team that could since its inception. ***** India has been punching above its weight for several seasons and I'd **** to see it collapse because of this.

Oh well. F1 always seems to attract some shady characters.

All you US fans of Formula 1 - this is your chance to be heard:

Should F1 come to New Jersey?

So the prancing horses lock out the front row with the silver arrows behind.
This should be a good race!

Throw in the Red Bull cars, that are still battling beginner's issues in tghe season, who can mix up the front rows quite a bit - and will, I am sure

Obviously I want Lewis to win. He'll have to race as if his life depended on it tomorrow. Great to see all the drivers supporting Billy Monger (#billywhizz)
