First weekend driving the car and Button is beating both Hamilton and Palmer to be the best of British
Pity McLaren have a million place grid penalty really, could've got some decent points.
Damn Button slipped off and ruined his chances and threw a wrench in the race.
But everybody knows there are at least one or two Safety Car phases in every Monaco GP

Would have been nice to see Raikonnen get the win in Monaco but probably wishful thinking that Ferrari would have allowed that to happen.
It is becoming a bit of a theme now for there to be a driver on the principality podium that is as miserable as sin due to the it being the "one that got away". Hamilton in 2015, Ricciardo in 2016 and Raikonnen in 2017.
An extremely messy weekend for Mercedes.
I don't know about anyone else, but there were a couple of minutes of genuine concern from me re: Werhlein until his radio message came through. It was one of those situations were the TV director didn't want to run any replays of the incident until he knew that the driver was OK. When you have the benefit of seeing the replays, you can see how it probably wasn't as bad as it first looked - but seeing a car in a perfectly vertical position is not something I've witnessed before!
A fantastic performance in qualifying from Button, it's just a shame he was punished by that million place grid penalty nonsense we have to put up with. 'Tis also a shame that he caused an accident, because he made a career of hardly ever being involved in any accidents... ever.
As for Fernando Alonso at Indy, I think we can all agree that he was very impressive. If it wasn't for that Honda engine giving up then who knows... you would have thought he would have been in the mix at the end.
What was that people were saying beforehand about Indy being good PR for Honda/McLaren? Another expired engine. Oh dear!

Solid race from Lewis with an amazing qualifying lap (or 2).
Felt sorry for Max, who had a fantastic start.
Vettel had a pretty good race after having to come in for a new front wing thanks to Max.
Perez is a selfish fuckwit. He should have moved over for Ocon to have a go a Ricciardo not doing so lost the Pink Panthers a possible podium and a few points.

Best race this season so far, in my opinion- even though Max was out 
I wish that Red Bull could get their reliability issues sorted out.
I don't know about ya'll but I am NOT excited for Baku. It was the most boring race last year and this year with the wider cars it's going to be just as much of a snooze fest.

After last year's race in Baku, I gained an appreciation for the Indian GP. And that car park race in Las Vegas years ago wasn't so bad either.
Anyone want to guess what McLaren is going to do? Even with approximately $100 million coming from Honda, how much longer can McLaren afford to let the hopeless folks at Honda ******* their brand? McLaren-Mercedes again??? :dunno:

The Baku race is still better than Monaco IMO (alright I swear this is the last time I'll mention my dislike of that track).
In regards to McLaren Mercedes, did they part on good terms? If not is McLaren's only other option to beg Renault for engines?
