I've never seen such horrific, bumbling performances from two pretty good teams in my 40+ years of watching sports. This time it wasn't just Collins, but he got a lot of help from his teammates in handing that one over. The injury to Chris Johnson was the only excusable thing in this debacle. I'd hate to feel what Jeff Fisher is feeling this morning. And like that wasn't enough...what did I say? If Delhomme fucks up the Cards have a shot. Who-wee did he ever fuck up. I'm not a Cardinal fan by any means and it looks like Warner and his receiving duo are peaking at the right time. Good for them. But eventually you gotta pay the piper. I hesitate to do this, but...
Today's Games
Philadelphia at New York--I like the Eagles and they're red hot. I know both of the lower seeds won yesterday, and wouldn't it be nice if the underdogs won today. That rarely continues. Philly won here the last time they played thanks in part to a great performance from McNabb and Westbrook's rushing. This is another time and a rested NY team. Besides...do you think Coughlin watched those games yesterday? Watch the battle in the trenches in this one.
San Diego at Pittsburgh--If LT doesn't play, The Chargers will not win. It is Tomlinson who gives Phil Rivers his space. Turner may start Sproles, who looked pretty decent last week. But this is Pittsburgh. In Pittsburgh. Rushing the ball against them is not allowed. So it'll be up to Rivers, who likes Jackson and Gates. Off field problems by Jackson could hamper that performance. The Steelers have the Roeth concussion problem to worry about. He will start and he's getting healthy, but the Bolts know they can jar him. Plus Pitt has a lousy rushing game. They better find one soon. Down the pipe the victors of this game know they face a bruised and battered Ravens team with a rookie QB. Who wants it more?
