Griffey Jr. He might have won if he would have stayed healthy, there is NOT a better swing in all of baseball period.

I would bet a lot of money on Iverson not winning a championship at this stage of his career. Maybe with Detroit he could have had a chance but with Memphis, no way. (I apologize to any Grizzlies fans on the forum!)

That's a shame! I think D'Antoni would bring out the best in him if it did happen. I'm a big Nash fan but even I got to admit his age works against him at this stage of his career. Bet you Knicks fans wouldn't say no to Lebron though!

Nash, Griffey and Iverson. Maybe McGrady

Ken Griffey Jr. Could have been the best hitter in MLB history and had the fielding to back it up. His only chance at getting a title is if he's Yankee bound but he's not. Too bad for the injuries costing him one of the best careers ever. He still has had a great career but could have been so much more.

Why?

He's clearly over-rated. He's always dropped more passes than he catches.

He gets media attention due to the fact he's an attention whore...not due to his abilities on the field.

I'm glad his time in Buffalo has shut his mouth so far this season.

Why wouldn't he be a hall-of-famer? Look at his career numbers, they're off the charts.

Just becuase you don't like the guy that doesn't mean he's not a hall-of-famer. You have to remember, he's 35, so of course he's not playing up the ability we're use to seeing him.

He's always dropped more passes than he catches.

Uh...no!

Active players still have a chance to win a championship and should be excluded from the discussion.

That's the point. I'm asking, which player is most likely to never win a championship. You kinda need active players for a question like that.

I think Lebron will win eventually. In the NBA, if you are one of the best players in the league, you usually win a championship. Unless you are up against a Jordan-esque dynasty and I don't see that in the coming years but you never know.

The NEXT best player to never win a championship. There is lots of great retired players who haven't won a championship, especially on the Cubs, but I'm talking about current great players who are unlikely to never win a championship.

It's possible if he goes to New York.

Lebrons main priorities:

1. Becoming a billionaire
2. Stats
3. Individual awards

:yesyes: And because of ^^^ it seems unlikely he'll sign with Kobe (as ESPN has been in masturbatory mood all week over that possibility when someone floated the rumor)...

Lebron to the Bricks is really the only option for him. Madison Avenue will demand him go there.

Haha Lebron to the Lakers.

I've heard rumours of Lebron to Miami, the Clippers, Nets, Knicks and even Denver. People think a team is going to be able to sign a duo of Lebron/Wade/Bosh and still have money for a Joe Johnson type player. Haha.

I think Wade will hit the road to Chicago.
Bosh will try and sign wherever Lebron goes. Bosh isn't a leader and doesn't want to try and lead the Raptors anywhere. He'll be traded before the end of the season.
Lebron will sign with his good friend Jay Zed. They have pieces in Brook Lopez, Courteny Lee and Devin Harris to help support Lebron, the Knicks have Gallinardi, possibly David Lee and no 1st round pick next year. If Lebron wanted to stew in mediocrity, he would stay in Cleveland.

Just my two cents.

Way to early to add Lebron. He has a good 12 years to try and get the ring.

As far as where he's gonna end up, NY/NJ would be my choice. Like STDiva said they have a good young line up to help out Lebron.

Lopez is getting better and will be a top center someday. Devin Harris is already an all-star caliber player. Plus Lee and Yi Jianlian have shown flashes of being great players. Add the expierenced Lebron next year and you have a young, fast and exciting team.
