The Most Underrated Album Ever?

whether its hiphop, rap, rock, jazz, r&b, or even country...

what album would you say is the most underrated?

I say---> Ghetto Mafia's "On The Grind"!
if you like mellow, but hardcore, rap music, this is one of the, if not, the best of them all!
what do you think?

This is too difficult, there are albums out there that i love and consider "underrated" but the fact is not everyone has the same taste in music as me.

I'll just throw one out: Clutch - Robot Hive/Exodus

I could go on and on, depending on the artist. Marilyn Manson's "Antichrist Superstar" was much better than "Mechanical Animals", which is widely regarded as his best album. The Mars Volta's "Frances the Mute" is an amazing rock album, but it didn't get much recognition when it was released.

Chuck Klosterman wrote a decent article about overrated and underrated bands in Spin. It's included in his most recent book.

i hated antichrist superstar. with a passion. back in the day i actually listened to mechanical animals and its the only one i used to speak up for. i thought everyone hated it.... at least in la they did. i dont listen to it anymore as i dont like that guy, too in-your-face about religion, its an instant turn off for me. music seems so fake too. but hey, if you like it, you like it and thats fine with me.

Rarely Tool - Lateralus get's the respect it deserves, although recently it is starting to get more reconised as one of the greats. For example it just got entered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. BUT IT'S STILL NOT ENOUGH, DAMMIT!

I think his music is interesting to listen to, because he's a pretty intelligent person. At least the lyrical content includes something other than new love, true love, love lost, etc. I don't listen to MM as much as I used to, but I still like listening to his philosophical ideas that come out through the music...I may not agree with all of them, but it's provocative music imo.

wait a minute. there is something from tool in the hall of fame?! where as bands such as iron maiden and metallica arent even in. what little credibility this hall of fame had in my eyes, just flew out the window.
