The Jade Goody Scenario

Hey all,

I'm sure a lot of ye in the States mightn't have any idea what I'm talking about here, so apologies if that's the case...don't mean to be alienating anyone!
But what does anyone (who knows) think about all this media coverage Jade Goody is getting recently??

Personally it's pissing me off a lot. She's exploiting the fact that she's terminally ill to make a load of cash for her "husband" who's obviously only too glad to play along with the whole thing. What's worse is that this absolute waste of space of a woman is being treated like a saint and a hero by half of the UK (and Ireland) while how many thousands of other people in her situation are completely ignored by society...

PHEW...that's my rant done on that!

To be fair to her she has admitted what she is doing. She came out and said openly that she is going to die, so why not use that fact to make money for her kids? She is being very brave in doing all the publicity when most of us would just wallow in the fact that we were on deaths row. Another good thing she is doing is promoting cancer charities, which can't be a bad thing.

I hate her 'husband' with a passion, he doesn't give two shits about her and is just laughing all the way to the bank. I don't think the kids are his anyway? Aren't they that other offensive BB tosspots, the blonde midget who does TV shows?

The 'Diana II' media portrayal is a bit OTT though I agree. Daily Mail magazine plates of her the Sunday after she goes anyone? ITV specials on her life for a month?

Unfortunately there is not one positivie thing I can say about her or her situation. She has built a career on a basis of ignorance and in many ways I like to think of her disease as a karmic bitch slap! She has kids yes, a husband fine and she gets special treatment, why? Why are people like this who contribute in no positive way to society, but rather drag our culture into the gutter elevated onto the shoulders of the masses?

Hundreds of people out there are battling cancer, no, thousands and I would bet many of them are tackling it with far more dignity than this headline grabbing, money seeking bitch can ever claim to have! Is she giving any money to cancer research? Or planning on keeping it so her bloody offspring have a comfortable life that did not earn or lift a finger towards! Dont worry kids, your mother whoring herself on tv and in the limelight has set you up for life!

As many people will no doubt be angered as much as I am, I am counting the days til the end of her pathetic existence so that the curse of reality tv will play out its finale and she will be lost to the annuls of history! Whats her legacy exactly, star of Big Brother (didnt she make an arse of herself and get her tits out on tv) what a way to win the nations heart, be sure to include that at the service!

When I first heard she had cancer I knew without doubt it couldnt possibly be a brain tumour! I might seem callous and unsympathetic but I'll bet statistically someone on this board has suffered from or have been related directly to someone who battled cancer and may or may not have won that fight! Its an insult to ever cancer sufferer out there!

Yeah as bad as cancer is, and that I wouldnt wish it on anyone (except her and Paris Hilton), she has very been made a complete saint by the media.

Fair enough, she is being quite brave about it, dieing in the public eye (whether she wanted to or not with Britain's media) but having a terminal illness DOSNT MAKE YOU A BETTER PERSON!

The thing I hate most about this is the hypocracy of it all. I would say before the cancer, 98% of the country thought she was a vile waste of space and probably wished she'd die, but now its actually happening, everyone loves her and how brave she is.

If you dont like her, stick to your guns, like me. She cant die fast enough in my opinion.

the paper's are treating her as a new Diana,who was another publicity whore, good luck to her kids who are set for life but her "husband" is buzzin he'll be fuckin any model in china white et al before she's cold.
the sooner she's off my daily newspaper's the better.
