"The Island" is the whole equal to the sum of it's "parts"?

In the words of Rod Serling, "submitted for your approval".

Take a careful read of it. Note the almost eerie similarities of The Island to parts:the clonus horror. Though parts is not a good film to begin with but give credit where credit is due. Which the producers of The Island have yet to do.

I'm not going to go out and bash The Island from the get go, though it's directed by Michael Bay. But that's another issue.

That's awful! I'm surprised film makers would have the nerve to do something like that. It'll be interesting to see what happens with this though - Surely if that many people have noticed the similarities then Dreamworks can't get away with it..?

Funny you mention that, the director of parts Robert Fiveson is planning to see it when it opens. Then he'll see how much is similar, then he's going to consider legal action.
I think he has a case, though I'd really like to see The Island anyway.
A little based on credit for the people behind parts and a little compensation and I think it'll smooth out.

We'll see what develops.
