There's no pork in this stimuli

There's all pork in this "stimuli".

• This current administration is spending a billion dollars a day of borrowed money on junky special interest pet projects when they should be giving the republicans and all Americans, really, a remedial lesson on econ and finance, however, it is apparent that they can't help themselves.

So here we have at least two consecutive Presidential
administrations of differing political persuasion :)laugh: ya think ?) that insist on deficit spending to what end I have no friggin idea.

and they chide me for being a non partisan "free agent" voter.

Damn me anyway for voting on principle ! :(

The country decided to put an intelligent, articulate LEADER in the White House. The country decided that GOVERNMENT SHOULD WORK for ALL PEOPLE rather than not work at all or only for the Rich. President Bush's Legacy, whatever chance he had at finding one in the "12th Hour" of his administration has been VANQUISHED. The "Bush Brand" returns to Bush 41.

It was a historic beating and rejection of the Republican Brand. The Republicans are no longer a "National" Party. They are nothing more than the ol' Dixie Party. If the Libertarians had any actual leadership they might make the case that THEY should speak on behalf of Conservatism. They might be able to forceably remove the Evangelicals from the Republican Party. I'll watch for that. But, in reality, the Libertarians are either too lazy or just "rabble-rousing" nitwits to actually coalesce around anything. They didn't even rally around Bob Barr. Half of the Libs had boners for Ron Paul.

The Republican Party has officially collapsed and I, for one, am DAMN HAPPY about that. Who takes control of the party now? How will the Repubs become an inclusive party after 15 years of Divisive politics and cronyism and moral bankruptcy (Gingrich et all)?

I guess Facetious has just played the Wacko Reaction Card--blame "Soros" "MoveOn.org" and Warren Buffet--e.g. THE SECRET POWER DEMS--for electing Obama?

I hope Obama brings about Universal Healthcare for All within his first 100 days in office.

idk about all that...i didnt vote for him but if he does good more power to him but if he doesnt....I DIDNT VOTE for him

And still no one realizes it doesn't matter who wins or loses. The country is fucked no matter what.

Humanity is fucked no matter what.

But what if Obama turns out to be an Alien, and unveils a secret energy source that will run the planet for the next 5,000 years? Yeah, bet you didn't think of that!

Get on it Hollywood! :1orglaugh

In defense of Obama ...

In defense of Obama, although I've been critical about him not sticking to his campaign promises, a lot of his first first two months have been about trusting Congress to work with him to address issues that were before his time. Congress has failed him as much as he has failed us. I honestly hope that's the last time he does it.

Fortunately, we are starting to see signs of the Obama policy itself, and it's not bad.

He's taking on the NEA. It was a shocker, but something my wife -- a teacher herself -- is glad to see. No Republican could. But it's hard for the NEA to dismiss a Democrat. Obama wants accountability, and I hope he will continue that attitude.

He failed to do so on the stimulus package. I can overlook that given the economy, and the number of Representatives and Senators that used it for pork and programs that were questionable. I just hope it's the last time, and his comments on the NEA were a positive step to telling me that he is really trying to shed party politics.

We'll see. He's got a few more months to show us what he's really planning to make out of his first term.

It didn't work to shout "socialism," so now they're yelling "overload" and "lack of focus." Critics of the Obama administration counsel the president and his aides to spend every waking hour -- and every available dollar, including stray coins found behind the cushions of the Oval Office couch -- on the paralyzing financial crisis. What these critics really want, though, is to delay or derail the progressive reforms that voters elected President Obama to carry out.

So much incompetence & inexperience, so little time...

Yes. Good old Georgie boy. I tear up just thinking about the injustice of term limits. But hey, we gave him two terms. I'm not sure what that translates to in neocon years, but it seemed like forever.

Hahahaha Ok Mr. Obama you had fun trying to do the "dreams of my father kinda stuff" it's not to late now to swith to the center.

Has the President ever thought of tallying up the overall projected expenditures for his new banana republik ? I mean, have you seen the cost(s) of his plan(s) ? The man operates like you would expect a Hugo Chavez - like, dictatorial autocrat, as he fast tracks u.s. into subjugation via economic sabotage.

I told YOU SO, Ya shitz !

:D

I wonder what will his reaction be when the angry mob finds out that fuck ups like Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae add ACORN received bail out monies...and when he asks people again fro money money

Although I disagree with the vast majority of his policies, presently pursued and planned for the future, it's way too early to call "fuck up" or not yet.

New Poll shows President Obama's approval ratings at an all time high, Republican poll ratings at a 25 year low and American's outlook on the economy is brightening.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/07/us/politics/07poll.html?hp

Perhaps Stampede2873 just didn't start enough threads about the President.

Perhaps, you didn't read the article completely, or you didn't want to admit that it is a slanted Democratic poll.
Here's the article's stats, some of which they purposely left out of the graphs:

Out of 998 people called on the phone (most likely a Democratic dominant voter area), 63% said Obama was making the right decisions on the economy; but of these people 17% thought the Democrats in Congress were making the right decisions, while 20% thought the Republicans were.
While 61% of the group thought Obama was making the right decisions on National Security, 27% thought the Republican in Congress were making the right ones, and only 12% thought the Dems were.
Of course, the pie slice showing how low the Dems were regarded was left out of the Pie chart...empty space...simple math needed to figure it out.

The stat "Republican poll ratings at a 25 year low" was actually the Times/CBS poll results' lowest in the 25 year history of their poll taking...10 other polls could be showing a higher result.

"...the number of people who said they thought the country was headed in the right direction jumped from 15 percent in mid-January, just before Mr. Obama took office, to 39 percent today, while the number who said it was headed in the wrong direction dropped to 53 percent from 79 percent."
Or... 39% of those polled said the country was headed in the right direction, while "only" 53% thought it was still heading in the wrong direction.
Not exactly a resounding endorsement of the current administration.
The entire article used slanted and creative formulas to show the Pres is doin' a great job (according to these 998 Americans) and isn't an objective source at all.

Stampede2873 should definitely keep posting those threads...
