I am through with Microsoft and their fucking unstable systems. I cant take it anymore. I'm switching over to a Mac system. Probably should've done it a long time ago. Everything Microsoft comes out with... every update, every software.... everything is just a crash waiting to happen. My system has been taken over by Microsoft for the last time!!!

So Microsoft, if you're listening... eat shit and DIE!!! :violent:

These are clearly my sentiments.

I was watching a TV show about kids and who they admire. Bill Gates came up as a visionary because he advanced PC's in the world. However people forget that he stole the idea for Windows from Apple, (stolen from Xerox), and it's been downhill ever since. It is a great effort in the world of marketing however as such a crappy product gets him paid for 9 out of 10 PC's sold in the world. I don't think he's too altruistic because his business model has been to drive all competition out of business. "Vista", his shining star is "lipstick on a pig".

I'm having problems with cut and paste right now, and my cursor tends to disappear. Oh well, I guess it's working normally. :dunno:

My cursor disappears when I'm around to much animation, is that called flash? Anywho, I don't know what I'm doing on a computer for the most part, so if I don't know what it is, I don't know its not right. I just don't try to do it again. lol Like with my car, if it makes a noise I fix it. I simply turn up the radio and voila ping or clunk gone. :D

I had problems with mine it times but there is no way that I would buy a mac. I don't like the set up of them. I soon as well as put two vines together and two cans before I would buy one. Thats just my two cents worth. :2 cents:

fixing windows over n over certainly gets you to know your pc a little better , maybe that is mr.gates intention, maybe he sees vista being glitchy as an educational tool?i said "tool" and "gates" in the same sentence...

I've never had any problems with my Windows XP except some viruses, but FreeOnes is to blame, not Microsoft.

I find the main reason why Mac is more stable is because there are no programs to run on it. None that I'm interested in anyway.

Switch to a Unix-based system if you really can't stand Windows, but I can't say I have any problems with it. Once all the idiotic help functions are turned off, it's a pretty okay OS.

Come over to Mac.

Don't let the nerds and their "cult of Mac" turn you off.

I've read some scathing reviews of Vista, and then made some comments of my own that were even worse. Hot key presses. How many versions of Windows have to come out to allow consistency in hot key combinations?

They're solution to cumbersome and slow code, is every upgrade has required a faster PC. Vista now requires a dual core Intel, (not that Intel minds at all).

I have to say, as someone who has been using Windows machines since 94, I have honestly never had any real problems. From my experience, it's usually the act of putting 10,000 programs on the system, with 500 background tasks running in the background that fucks things up. This has been the case in every computer I've ever encountered (e.g., friends, family) with problems. My one friend has a system I built him and he's done everything I've told him not to in order to keep in running smooth. When I get on his computer, I can't help it see such a mess of shit, that the programs folder expands off the screen, the desktop is loaded with icons, and even his favorites takes a month to locate specific URLs. His task bar has at least 15 icons in it too. The amazing part? He only really uses about 5 programs, the rest is stuff he just felt he wanted to try at one time. Ridiculous. He told me last week while camping "My computer is really doggin' out and I think it's getting ready to die". No shit, you have tortured the goddamn thing!

I have 15 actual applications (Adobe Acrobat Reader, Photoshop, Google Earth, Kaspersky AV, Keepass, Nero, O&O Defrag, PGP, WinZip, Window Washer, and a few really tiny tool programs like Unit Convertors). The rest is just Microsoft Flight Sim 2004 and it's respective add ons I've bought for it. I clean and defrag my drive weekly and don't leave anything on I don't use or like.

I'm not saying this is your case, but most of the time that's the problem. Otherwise bad hardware or bad drivers. I build my machines, am picky, and have had great success because of it.

Maybe that is Mr. Gates secret evil plan. Make all the software malfunction and force people to try and fix it themselves so they all become experts at using one. I also think that was Ford Motor Company's plan a couple decades ago until everybody else also adopted it. :1orglaugh

The cursor was disappearing when I was typing a post. I was like blind typing.

If Bill Gates had a penny for every time MS DOS and MS Windows hung up he’d be rich. Umm, wait a minute, he does
