Gaddafi hugs Lockerbie bomber and thanks Britain.

Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi hugged the convicted Lockerbie bomber and promised more cooperation with Britain in gratitude for his release, while London and Washington condemned his "hero's welcome" home.

Meeting Abdel Basset al-Megrahi and his family late on Friday, Gaddafi thanked British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Queen Elizabeth for "encouraging" Scotland to release the dying prisoner from a Scottish jail, Libyan news agency JANA reported.

After receiving a warm embrace from Gaddafi, Megrahi bent forward and kissed the leader's hand.

For someone who gets life.Should get life.But what if this guy was just
a scapecoat,as he couldn't be responcible for the whole thing.If they
got him,then why didn't they get the rest of the team as well???

It seems a bit strange how that wasn't followed through???

So there's maybe 50% of the stuff we really don't know about this,
McCaskill did,and thats helped him in his decision.

The British Justice System is well known for framing people when the pressure is on to get a conviction

Plus theres a shitload of evidence that wasnt heard in court like breakins at a London airport on the day the plane was blown up next to the Panam baggage , payment to witnesses by American sources plus loads more just look it up

Dont always beleive a guilty verdict as gospel , because it isnt

The Scottish government showed some humanity towards a gravely ill, dying man and spared him a hard and lonely death in prison.
But why am I not surprised, that it's some Americans once again who are shooting their mouths off demanding shame and death, because an old man wasn't left for dead?
Well, it pains me to say, but this kind of behaviour won't make it harder for terrorists to reason their deeds, because who refuses to show humanity won't receive any.

I wouldn't have done it; however, if it acts as a "gesture of peace" toward the Middle East community, then I think it's sensible. The families of the victims have been compensated. Libya admitted guilt, promised to halt all terrorist activities, and has basically kept a low profile for 20 years.

I am not on a high horse. And I'm of the opinion, that everybody has his reasons and everybody deserves some humanity every once in a while, depending on the case.

And for being such a devote American christian, Will E, you should know that it's the man on the high horse whose name was death. So maybe you wannabe deathdealers should get off your horses.

ok there was a group from Iran that said the done it in revenge for Americans shooting down the Iran Air Flight 655 in the Gulf about a year before it...........which I remember everyone took seriously when it happened & it was claimed as the most credible one , then nothing more was said

There was an Islamic group claimed to have done it because it was X-mas

There is also claims the CIA stopped the bag containing the bomb from being searched

There is also other claims from Iran , Libya and another guy Abu Nidal who was the 80s Osama Bin Laden & a few more
