Shirley Manson. I mentioned her a couple posts up. I think your totally wrong on the show though. I think it's one of the best shows on television right now. Of course we're going to get elements from the movies because it takes place after T2. Also the show isn't going to mesh with the third film because it's not going to have anything to do with that film although the producers of T3 are the producers of the show. The fourth movie is pretty much going to be a whole new trilogy that leads up to the first movie.

So we can expect a T5 and T6? Is terminator becoming the new Highlander? "We borrowed the name, treated the plot line like a buffet and shit it all out on film for you to watch" ?

Ive never watched the show, asides from bits here and there and they all left a bad taste in my mouth. Time travel shows are bad enough, but when they blatantly screw with whats already been written, it just bugs me. As many will probably say to me, dont watch it and just ignore it, I do, for me the terminator story follows the movies, albeit the questionable 3rd included.

(I heard remarks from my mum who does watch it, the black cop chasing them is a terminator as well, but doesnt know it? What is this, battlestar now!?)

I think this show is really good and love every episode. I find it very entertaining, and I am a huge Terminator movie fan too.

She's actually the weak link for me, other than the crazy storyline. This new Sarah Connor is way too good-looking and more importantly, she's just not enough of a bitch. Give me back Linda Hamilton! Sarah Connor is supposed to be the woman at the dive bar who wouldn't be afraid to punch you in the face, and I just don't buy it.

I love the movies, even enjoyed the 3rd one but the show doesn't add anything, just the same themes we've seen in the films drawn out to the point of tedium. . .IMHO

I agree... it actually just makes the story even more complicated than it should be. The Sarah Chronicles is basically a whole new story, just keeping "the Terminator basics" with the cyborgs and all.

The Terminator just isn't interesting enough without Arnold

I've watched all the episodes up to S2:13.

It's only 'just' holding my interest.
Like so many scifi shows, it's pushing the scifi into the background in favour of mundane 'characterization'.
I can't take much more of John Connor talking about... well, anything, with his dull girlfriend Riley.
Also, since when did fugitives, fleeing for their lives, ever think that it was a good idea to rent a house, stay for months, go shopping, go to school, get 'neighbourly..? etc.

The casting is just so wrong, wrong, wrong.. they could have at least put a blonde actress in Sarah's role, if only for continuity's sake.. and a 'teenage' Terminator, regularly beating the crap out of larger models..? gimme a break.


I'm trying so, so hard to like the show, but it's becoming more difficult to sit through the episodes and keep interested.

One thing that did spike my attention, was in that last episode I mentioned.. the one where Sarah goes to the UFO convention..

Those 'probes' that you see pictures of, have actually been spotted in varous parts of the USA.. might be a hoax, but at least the producers are trying to tie-in real world events, to help the story.
