Why didn't we have teachers like that?

She has a great body. Now that her teaching career is over, hopefully we'll start seeing a lot more of her!

I hate stories like this. It's so sad to me.

I used to teach at a developmental center and they threatened to fire me over my modeling, if any parents found out.
Otherwise they thought I was a great teacher, co-workers just kept gossiping about it.

When the students are young enough, they'd never know anyway.
If they're older, teach them to be mature and don't give the BS excuse that it will "distract" them from their learning experience.

"We don't like that you modeled. We're going to fire you and hopefully you'll do more of it. I mean, who needs another teacher?"

I hear ya on that. Gossip is annoying, but expected.... people are always going to talk about it, because most people perceive it as a "scandal" to be naked on the internet. While I don't agree with the firing of teachers for having a past in the adult industry, I can still see the other side of it. If you choose a line of work that involves acting as a role model for children/teens, of course a porno past will inevitably bite you in the ass. In this particular case, the woman wasn't even involved in porn at all though, was she? I think it was just sexy and occasionally nude photos, but I could be wrong...

Apparently there was more to it. She was also arrested last year for battery. She allegedly hit her husband (former husband?) with a baseball bat.
According to the police report, she "smeared peanut butter on the ceiling and bed, and then picked up a bat and hit her husband. This, as the couple's two children watched. She claims her husband was coming after her and she was defending herself."

Well, that's part of the issue for me, I don't see being in porn or posing nude as a negative in the "role model" front.
The entire societal stance on the adult industry would probably be drastically different if we didn't teach people it's dirty and shameful.
Kids are exposed to SO much violence and crazy shit, yet we're terrified of them seeing boobs.

Sex positive feminism could help our nation so much. But meh.

Now that's a much more viable reason, IMO!
When I was in high school, our campus police officer was at a school because he was demoted for alleged domestic violence, sheesh.

I agree that society is very hypocritical when it comes to porn, that's a no brainer. You make some very valid points!

Okay, I'm really thrown by the peanut butter thing.... :wtf:

Wait, we have trouble getting holocaust deniers out of classrooms because of the First Amendment, but nude photos gets someone the shoe ASAP despite that same piece of law? Yeah, because God forbid we expose our children to someone controversial like a woman who occasionally shows a nipple or two in a non-classroom environment which the children won't be exposed to anyway, right...? *sigh*

That's a former teacher?

I'm getting a "page not found" on the link the the news story.

Anyway, I have never personally known anybody ever that seriously considered one of their teachers a role model.

I also have a problem when somebody like this, especially if they are a public employee of the government, being disciplined over something they do outside of work that's not illegal.
