I like Tabasco especially the Habanero Brand Tabasco. There are better hot sauces out there without a doubt but Tabasco is the standard and household name for hot sauces.

Urban Legend or . . . (?)

Doubles as an oven cleaner an may thwart cancel cells (?) :dunno:

Indeed, lovely on the mucous membranes

Aside - Would such "Tabasco"® taste hot for a bug (?)

. . or are the molecules . . . . . ?

Sorta like : You can nuke (microwave oven) a fly, but not a flea) Ha ha !

Show me someone that loves tobasco sauce. And I will show you someone that has far less working taste buds then average.
A friend of mine used to drink the stuff - literally. It is amazing if he has any taste buds left.

I find that it actually has helped improve my ability to taste, McRocket. Friggin' weird, ain't it? :dunno:

Logic dictates that the capsicum within the peppers (including my beloved habaneros) would literally burn the taste buds into submission ... it doesn't, though. I can still detect many different subtle flavors (especially in wine).

i taste too much vinegar, esp in ramen noodles... that's my main problem.
I use it sparingly.

I like the green one. I also like A1 on scrambled eggs....very good.
Tabasco rocks. I use it on salad, soup...whatever I think of actually...

I usually have 4-5 different hot sauces for different dishes. Tabasco is alright, but I go through more Frank's Red Hot than anything else.

A few years ago I found a chilli sauce called Dave's Insanity Sauce in my local Tesco. This stuff was so hot that it had a warning on it stating that anyone with a heart condition should avoid! It also stated that it was so potent that it could remove oil stains off your tarmac.
It was so hot that it made some of my mates instantly vomit producing tears, you didn't need much to add to your food.
I haven't seen it since, anyone else heard of it or tried it?

I don't eat anything HOT. Some things are tolerable very mild, I have been told in was from an experience in Chinatown as a two year old. Dipping my FF in the bowl of hot mustard on the table, it took my breath and caused me to almost pass out. :( Told me that true Chinese hot mustard not the little packets or the kind in Americanized suburban restaurants is about the extreme of hot. You won't get me to test it, lol thank goodness I have no memory of it.
