Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd, dead at 60

My friend last seen him street cleaning in soulth london even though Gilmoore
Offerd money from album sales

rip mate :(

Is it fate that he dies almost the same week as the Pulse DVD re-issue?
And also in the same weeks that a possible reunion is talked about (which we know will never happen)

So long, Syd and take care...
Time is up,
Song is over,
Thought i had something more to say!!!:wave2:

I was lucky enough to see Pink floyd in '94.
Wish you were here and Shine On live are incredible, but everybody knows that.
RIP

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I heard about this today...to bad his musical career ended with Floyd.

Uh Syd Barret wrote like 2 albums, all the Dark Side Of The Moon stuff was not with him..

Sid was partly responsible for what is Pink Floyd but there best work was mostly written by Roger Waters and to a lesser extent Dave Gilmour imo,
Having said that its a shame LSD freaked his mind which made the rest of his life deranged but he deserves his place in History.

Pink Floyd was, and still is, my all-time-favourite band.
So here is the way I like to remember Roger Keith "Syd" Barrett.

THE JUGBAND BLUES

It's awfully considerate of you to think of me here
And I'm most obliged to you for making it clear
that I'm not here
And I never knew the moon could be so big
And I never knew the moon could be so blue
And I'm grateful that you threw away my old shoes
And brought me here instead dressed in red
And I'm wondering who could be writing this song

I don't care if the sun don't shine
And I don't care if nothing is mine
And I don't care if I'm nervous with you
I'll do my loving in the Winter

And the sea isn't green
And I love the queen
And what exactly is a dream?
And what exactly is a joke?
