This is a good opportunity to get some beef on sale. I got an 8 lb Prime Rib Roast from the Ralph's for about $64. We ate it on Christmas Eve and it was great. Had some other stuff along with it including a few pies at the end. Go to the store, get a couple roasts, then put them in the freezer. Cheaper than McDonald's if you calculate how many meals you get.

In Japan, KFC is the traditional Xmas dinner. I saw KFC has a "festive sandwich" which is like a stuffed chicken dinner in a burger, so I thought that was a good substitute.
