Songs that invoke nostalgia?

So here I am ruffling through my vast collection of music and as expected, nostalgia has stricken me after hearing a few songs I haven't heard in a long while. One such song is this one:

Yeah, that's right, Summertime by Will Smith. Say what you will, but this song always made it feel like summer when I was a ***. It always invoked thoughts of playing kick ball, basketball, baseball, hide and seek, breaking out the super soakers, eating BBQ and ******** Kool-aid all day everyday for three months. You know, actually going the fuck outside chasing girls and having fun as opposed to sitting on your ass for three months. The one constant was that someone was always blasting this song. Just wondering if anyone else has some songs that takes them back to better times when they hear it? It can be anything.

Reminds of me of High School days, cruisin around in the 86 Trans Am picking up bitches while ******** a 40 of St. Ides and the Vanillaroma Air Freshner hanging off the rear view mirrorr!

Reminds me of my of senior year of boarding school back in '93. I came home for Christmas break and I was hanging out with my older ******* and ****** who were students at Louisiana State University. I was 17 years old and at 6'5" and 230lbs, people always mistook me for being older then what I was. I went to party at my ******'s girlfriend's house and I danced with a fine thick redbone to this song. My ****** kinda played wingman and told her that I was a friend visiting from a school upstate. Well, we wound up having a really good time that night.

I love nostalgia crap!

This was one of the first times that I noticed when hot girls were present, my wiener became excited  (i was only 8!)

Can't Keep My Eyes Off Of You reminds me of Vietnam and shooting pool with my buddies in Pennsylvania. The Mousketeers theme song reminds me of Vietnam and ******* a crazy female sniper in Hue City.

Do you mean the song Blower's ********? By Damien Rice?

Of course, there are many songs, but let me just try to narrow it down to a few.

Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones
Get Back - The Beatles
Hey Jude - The Beatles
Shambala - Three Dog Night
Listen to the Music - The Doobie Brothers
The Heart of Rock & Roll - Huey Lewis & the News
If This is It - Huey Lewis & the News

ery strange situation. A while ago I was gonna include Steppenwolf's Magic Carpet Ride because it always reminds me of a particular place where they had a Free Jukebox and I always used to punch in the buttons to play Magic Carpet Ride. Then suddenly a while ago I up and drew a complete BLANK as to how the song went! WTF? I Googled up the lyrics, but that didn't help since I really go by the melody of the song and don't actually know the lyrics.

So, I finally had to break down and check out a YouTube.
It immediately came back to me.

It reminds me of Vice City and all the memories I have of playing it. And it also reminds me of the 80s as well.

This is the music that plays at the end credits for Vice City. It is THE BEST end credits music to any game EVER.

Way, way, way way way too many to list, but I will list as they come to me:

^ remind me of my *** when I was a *** in the basement him playin' his records.

Sooooo amazing:

Yeah, I was defnitely pretty much strictly East Coast when I was younger when it came to hip hop (although almost all of those cats are from the West, their sound was without question East Coast).

I used to watch this as a ***. Was always saddened by the song as he never settled down and was always on the move searching for happiness and stability which he never found :(

Didn't realise at the time but I guess this is when my fascination with the gothic subculture and alternative films/music and vampires began to show itself. Every other *** in their early teens at the time was into take that or the spice girls or 2 unlimited etc yet I liked this which had a far deeper meaning which i guess refelcted my personality at the time although i only realise that know. Probably also why I never had many friends :1orglaugh
