When we have colder winters these bloodcurdling critters aren't so bad in the spring, but this spring they have shown up a little more frequently. Just found another of the vermin on a sweater. Oh god I hate 'em.

God they can get massive though. Thank god I don't have to deal with cockroaches or other undesirables. The centipedes aren't really the type to bite either. But when you see three inchers it can be a shocker.
They are a relentless bunch. Very hard to exterminate. Basically move all furniture, thorough vacuming and buying Ortho Home Defense is how I try to deal with them.
It's an infamous problem in houses in this neighborhood. Generally they stay in the basement though which is nice.

Hey, I see it this way: I could be sleeping on rat infested cardboard on the street somewhere.
They were certainly having a little get together in there. I think I got three of them - including the biggest which was about a two incher. Fuck I hate those things. I had a friend over here who once had a six inch millipede in his pad when we were still in high school. Talk about bloody hell. :eek:

RS, yes that is one benefit of being in the Midwest; we don't get particularly lethal critters up here.
