Shorts for men, ok or not ok?

I cant stand wearing shorts. (So I dont)

I don't like wearing shorts, so no I don't. But I think it ok wear shorts if men want to wear them as long it not so short like the England team in football 15 years ago.

I'd say it depends on the shorts. If they are cargo shorts that come almost to the knees, no problem.

Alot of cool guys have worn sandals Samurai, Roman Legionares, and Jesus...and yes sometimes I dress like all of them.

I didn't know shorts were now becoming a gender issue.

what the fuck you lookin at?
There's a funny discussion going on on a Dutch forum where I'm a member about wether or not it's ok for men to wear shorts when it's warm. Today it was 30 degrees celsius in the Netherlands and a lot of the guys who posted in the thread said they never wear shorts, they wouldn't want to be found dead in them. Some of the girls also said shorts for men are not done. I think its rather silly, especially with this weather. So what about you, do you wear shorts?

30 c is what like 100 f? Must be a cultural thing. Over here in the states, most men wear shorts. Only time I don't is when I'm riding. You dump a bike I'd much rather have jeans on than shorts! Much less road rash that way.

what is wrong with sandals though? I make sure I shave my feet and use lotion on them so there is no cracked skin.

Oh and I love cargo/loose fitting shorts like everyone else. But those tight shorts that go past your knee and are bright in color are cool too.

Oh boy...silly and ridiculously homophobic American men :1orglaugh.... Why are some men "uncomfortable" with other men showing flesh???? If you don't like it, perhaps you shouldn't be looking at it??! And if you don't like seeing men in sandals, then why the hell are you checking men's feet out??!!
And on behalf of many women...yesss, show your legs, your arms, your shoulders (if your fit! same applies to women)...we want to see some male flesh OK....there is a difference between feminine and masculine outfits, and a man showing more flesh doesn't necessarily make it feminine...not that there is anything wrong with that...and yeah, if you have beautiful masculine well pedicured feet, yeah by all means wear sandals....it's sexy and women notice.;);)

I guess we are pretty much all on the same spot.

Cargo shorts etc are fine (and they offer the opportunity to handle all those little things you would put in your jacket in winter). Another issue are what europeans usually wear on the beach - it seems most us people think that what you call speedos are gay. Hm, I don't think so, but I found those a bit wider shorts more comfy, too.

Sandals are really nice in summer, and way better than going barefeet - or walking around in sweaty sneakers creating feet smell like a punch to the face

But I propose that guys who want to wear those sandals get a pedicure first, it is absolutely okay for men today to get that.

:cool:We may be "homophobic" but in this case...the OP wasn't referring to American men but a discussion among men and women on Dutch forum who both had a problem with men wearing shorts.:2 cents:

Now that I think about it, I wish I had hobbit feet, but weren't they barefoot...quick someone play a led zepplin record that will answer the question

The OP asked a question on whether shorts are ok or not for men, and only used the dutch example as a reference, imitation question.
My suggestion is that if you (in general) don't like male nudity, then stop checking men out...there are too many women out there you should be looking at. There are many women that love to see guy's legs, arms..chest, etc...just like you guys like seeing feminine atttributes...

No. The OP was moved to ask a question of others based on a perspective among the Dutch she believed was out of the mainstream. The question posed was simply, do you wear them?

The first thing your post did was castigate American men for something that wasn't even a question among American men beyond the OP's general interest. Even as such, most of those who are American men that have responded in this thread don't have a problem with wearing them. So what was the point of characterizing American men as, "silly and ridiculously homophobic" when your post was the first one which discussed who like/disliked seeing others in them???

The vast majority of posts here responded to whether or not the individual wears them. Not what they prefer to observe of others.

Next time, just say, Oops! I was wrong.:2 cents: Being well read or particularly articulate doesn't mean you can talk your way out of any reality.

Shorts are fine. I wear cargo and the preppy colored ones as well. Girls dig that shit, that is if you are a preppy. Sandals are alright as well. Rock some cargo, a wife beater and some sandals at the beach and the women will be staring. :hatsoff:
