Both are dangerous but one you are intoxicated and the other more clear minded.

Anything that takes your eyes off of the road is the most dangerous thing you can do while driving.

It's been proven that distractions cause more accidents than alcohol which only makes sense since mere amounts of blood alcohol don't necessarily cause a person to not look where they're going or to see objects in plain view.

i agree

Both...

shit people can not even text and walk.

I am amazed that people feel it is others responsibility to get out of the way when they are walking with their nose buried in the damn text keyboard.

Look the fuck up, or get knocked the fuck over.

I am an extremely safe driver. I have been in some of the worst driving conditions you can hope to avoid, yet come out without a scratch.

However, once when I decided to text and drive, I nearly wrecked the car. That was it. No more.

Driving home late at night after gigs you want to pull the drunk drivers over and give them what for.

In Oregon the law is changing to include talking on the cellphone. Those days will be over soon. (And here they watch you like a hawk).

talking on the phone is already banned in chicago unless u have a hands-free device (bluetooth, etc)

both are dumb, but i do think texting seems to be far more distracting! But I see people eating, applying make-up, working on a laptop. . . u name it!

To answer this question seriously...

They're both pretty fucking stupid and they're both pretty fucking dangerous. But, when you're texting and driving, you are blatantly taking your eyes off of the road, which is the single most dangerous thing you can do while driving. At least while driving drunk, you're not taking your eyes off of the road - in the sense of staring at your phone (well, unless you're drunk AND texting).

I remember being told many are impaired while driving nowadays. Either on some form of medication, drunk, or high. That is why they are really cracking down and having so many breathalyzer stops. Especially on holiday weekends.

As for texting. That is stupid too! Honestly, what the fuck does someone have to type while driving that they cannot do when they stop at a red light, park in a parking lot, or wait until they get home!? Especially since most text messages are nothing but a bunch of frivolous bullshit messages to begin with!

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
IMO most people can't drive when they are only concentrating on driving, half of the fucktards driving don't know drivers etiquette & proper procedures when it comes to driving in the 1st place. Then you fuck around & add either drinking or texting into the equation & you've / we've got major fuckin problems, although I, IMO think DRINKING is way more selfish & irresponsible, texting can be just as dangerous, people who text & don't have the whole keyboard texting phones they for the most part only text when they are @ stop lights only, but even that's still not a good idea, IMHO both of these Driving Distractions are NO good to mix with driving. :2 cents::hatsoff:
