Sci-Fi/Horror fans... Alien vs The Thing

At first I heard there was supposed to be a sequel to it WHICH WOULD BE FUCKED if it happened. And then recently I heard it is a prequel their doing instead. Supposedly set on the Norwegian base. The survivors from the Norwegian base chased the infected dog to R.J MacReady's base, where no doubt that will be the ending to the prequel if its made. I think it is WRONG to make either a prequel or a sequel. And it will be extreme hate mode I will be entering if either is made.

LEAVE THE THING ALONG YOU FUCKING SONS OF BASTARD HOLLYWOOD WHORES!!!

I agree..

It will simply be a re-hash of the first film.. only this time it will be full of CGId crap

I say alien I never seen the thing until the link on the top and n e way even the Predator has a hard time kicking the aliens ass so I say alien all the way

I say Alien, I love that movie, I also love Aliens, but The Thing is also a great movie, both are classics, but I prefer Alien.

I'm pretty sure the thing would win. As long as the alien's body is inhabitable by them it would only be a matter of time.

IMO the Thing will always be an under appreciated film. One of Kurt Russel's best movies.

OK. this is a though one. I prefer The Thing over Alien. But, i like Aliens more than either one. That said, while the Xenomorhpes can kill a thing, if one Alien gets copied all the others in the nest will. Horribly.

Really tough call, both are superior horror films, 2 of the best ever made. That being said i will lean towards The Thing. The script was brilliant and an amazing cast of actors, it really went beyond horror i think. Just a great character driven film.

And i agree with others, if they try to do a remake of either the original Alien or The Thing i will be really pissed off! Sadly i guess the hollywood idiots are already underway on an Alien remake.

An Alien prequel is on the way and so is The Thing (2011).

The Thing (2011) has Mary Elizabeth Winstead in it so it does. And even though there is not one single part of her body I wouldn't cum on, she should not be anywhere near the prequel. It should be a male only cast like the Kurt Russell movie.

This is very sad news but indicative of the lousy state of films. Watch them do both in 3D...complete a'holes.

Here if they do them in 3D they can fuck right off!. I hate this 3D phase Hollywood is going through at the moment. I will stick to standard movie viewing. It's better anyway.

Love Alien. A superb film and one of the scariest ever made. But 'The Thing' is my all-time favorite horror movie. In 'Alien' you could always tell when to start getting afraid (with one exception) but 'The Thing' is pure, unadulterated, anyone could transform or die at any moment suspense from start to finish. Take the scariest scene from Alien 'the chest-bursting scene' and stretch it to movie length and you get 'The Thing.'

Tough even match, however the the stuff from the 80's B-Horror classic "The Stuff" wins hands down, because no one from earth or any other planet can resist "The Stuff"!

I wouldn't be surprised if they remade Citizen Kane in 3D!:1orglaugh
I could see it now, Arnold as the aging newspaper tycoon with lines like "You've just missed your deadline."

Really, i wouldn't put it past them.

ha! just saw your post on The Stuff, gotta see that one again...Garret Morris!

The way they go through these phases reminds me of the old Ernie Kovacs line that "The rule in Hollywood is 'If it succeeds, beat it to death'".
